Picked up the hood this weekend.

I may have to wait until the middle of march to get the hood and bumper painted as I have zero time during weekdays to do it until Spring Break in March.

Nice!

So how are those LED tail lights coming along? Did you drill holes in the back or open them up?

I actually am pretty much bailing on the LED tails. It is a good concept, but because of the round bumps to reflect the light in our red lenses - it distorts the LEDs and it does not look right because it gives the illusion of some being brighter than others.

Our lense just isnt a 'see-through' type of red, it has refracting elements to it.

Soopa 009 where did you get those headlights at and how much did they cost. also where did you get that mesh grille from too and how much was it.

That sucks. well it was a good attempt.

Stock headlights with spray on tint on them and home made angel eyes.

I'm training to become an optoelectronics specialist at my work (Newark Electronics). I should be getting an LED dev kit within the next month or so, including a handful of Cree surface mount LEDs and a few different drivers to try.

Planning to experiment with some sequential tails, as are on the 2010+ Mustangs.

on my tailights...

Just thought I would share some photos of some new gear.

Updates on the damage to my car: My hood was damaged in shipping and they are working on getting me another.. I am about fed up trying to get a freaking hood. I have the LSE front still, just waiting to be painted - but the chrome molding was damaged in shipping, so they sent me another, and it was also damaged. So I think they are just refunding me my money and saying "we tried". Ford is shipping the molding in a paper thin box that is very long, but has no width, so it is bending in half with the lightest effort, I mean sheesh, the thing is only made of brittle plastic.

Anyways, on to the good stuff:

All new sway bar links, bushings, and toe links:

My new taillights (thanks Alax) got tinted:

Do you think one could achieve the same effect using a Lamin-x film or even a spray on tint?
