A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element has been named "Governmentium". Governmentium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 311.

These 311 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact.

A minute amount of Governmentium causes one reaction to take over 4 days to complete, when it would normally take less than a second.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 4 years; it does not decay, but, instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.

In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as "Critical Morass". When catalyzed with money Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element which radiates just as much energy, since it has 1/2 as many peons but twice as many morons.

Haha! very clever indeed!!

this is why I would like less Governmentium

Appears someone did not credit their source :(

L:):)Ks like a liberal conspiracy :D

I suppose there is hope for us all, barry, if you support the view of less government by making this post.
It is the liberals that vote for more govt. and the conservatives who vote for less govt.
seems like you think this post is funny cuz you dont like big govt., am I right? Then why support a liberal agenda which would increase govt.?

I see Vitas is being anal-retentive again. I didn't quote a source because it was sent to me as a joke. My sister was the source. It is pretty funny. Sorry that I broke a rule. I think that just about everyone figured out it was a joke by the end of the first paragraph. At least you should have been able to figure it out.

I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself. I am not a Liberal. I share some of their fundamental beliefs but I land clearly in Conservative territory.

It's just that I hate George Bush because he lied to us repeatedly about Iraq. He made a fool out of us and I'm still real pissed off about it.

He also lied about his administrations affiliation with religion. He lied about so many things that I can't believe a word he says. There are many of us out there that are disgusted with GWB.

Isn't our current government is the largest ever?

Isn't the National Debt the largest it's ever been?

Aren't those two pretty basic Conservative talking points?

according to the figures I just seen on cspan our national debt will be recending this year. You can expect a guy to do a 3 point turn around on a single lane dirt road with a caddilac sized problem left by his predecessor.

I fail to see where our goverment has gone from acute to obtuse; can you provide me with some substanitated examples?

Would it have been to much to add hey this was sent to me from a... I do it as courtesy to the originator even if I do not know who it is.

Ya' go over board to blame the conservatives for riding the coat tails of liberals and within the same frame of time post something as if it were original content.

Yes, it appeared tobe a joke to me and at the same time I thought you to be the source. How dare me to believe you to be so original.

Am I to suppose you are not?

Was this joke sent to you by your sister as well? :D

Vitas - thank you - I didnt realize your the internet police.

You know, I post jokes I find all the time. How come you dont criticize me?

Dont concern yourself barry, its all good.

I belive I started it really by commenting on his posting which would have otherwise gone uncommented on and had I known it was offensive to make lite of the matter would have checked with the internet police first. :D

Maybe rather than Barrying replying Vitas was being anal retentive, which to me seems to elicit a fight, barry could have simple stated yes this was sent to me by a relative. That would have been the end of it.

Personally Barry was out of line in his retort.

If I have to explain the concepts of attributing sources to their authors, or improperly creating the impression that a post originated with the writer, trust me, it is not worth it.

My bad it appeared that barry was getting back up and Vitas was getting dissed. I stand corrected. :Beer

The point was that you were making lite. Thats the way things should be- we're suppose to be friends here, not nit picking each other at every turn.

Agreed. I would like to refer you to Barrys accusations that I get my ideas and comments from third parties. If we are friends here one would think we would not come to such conclusions without being able substantiate them.

Actually, If you'd bothered to read any of the previous posts on this site before you added your drivel you'd find that the only consistancy is the Conservatives deflecting blame for everything onto everyone but themselves.

Bush's popularity contest is over. Only 41% now think we're going in the right direction. I love the smell of impeachment in the air.

And yes, you have well proven to be just another right wing nut job. It's like listening to a recording of Rush. Don't you have any original thoughts? You're worse than Monstermark. He just posts to elicit a response. You just post to spew your kind of hate.

I think MonsterMark is even tiring of your overblown ego.

in regards to my post.

The only thing the far left can do is shout and act angry in an attempt to make thier agenda more palatable and/pr believable and to enlist those on the fringe that have done nothing but disenfranchise themselves.

You need look no farther than barry's retorts to recognize the patterns. Heck my first posts in to the political forum he lead in with ahh another right wing nut job and a few other disparaging terms. Completely consistent with the rest of the party.

Believe me i will not take someone elses material without giving credit especially in the political, or technical as far a things go, forum where emotions can run high and credit is due to the originator of orginal thought.

I assure you I will not quote without credit and you will never discover me posting anything which leads to hate nor violence like some participants so willingly do.

Before we proceed maybe we shoud wait for barry to return to clarify his comments on Vitas and me. Pursuit of this any further would not be fair without his participation.

I think everyone needs to cool it - this isnt about attacking each other. I see alot of insults traded, and I know its more in the heat of passion, but everyone has to show a little respect for each other. Good humor is the goal here folks. Even if your debating with some right wing nut job with an overblown ego or left wing commie pinko plagerist. :D

GET A GRIP GUYS! THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE FUN!

No arguments here. Politics can be very emotional and all to often humor is the victim of good intention when it comes to politics.

I propose that if you intend to politically disparage someone in humor that you take the precautionary measure of adding smileys. just my 2 cents.
