So a few weeks ago, i had the stock LSC mufflers removed and straight piped, with the stock LSC piping just like many people have. Sounded GREAT!!! One of the best sounds i have heard in a while...

THEN... a few days ago i was reading around and saw people were also removing the 3rd cat/ resonator and were having good results.. "Cool" i thought to myself. Ill just custom bend some pipe and bell the ends to slip over the stock piping again.. WOW!!!!

The car is now completely straight piped unless you count the 2 cats in the midpipe, and :eek: ... For those of you that want LOUDER!!! this is IT!!! but for those of you that drive your Mark everyday and race on the weekends. This is not good. It is so loud i cant even describe. But its not bad if the IMRC's are closed and you can definately tell when they open . haha. no more hiding from the cops. It sounds like i have the cutouts open. But it is really raspy and i dont like it very much. It does feel faster but maybe thats because it feels like i am driving a Harley Davidson. Seriously .

What are your guys recommendations??? If i got an X/H pipe it would smooth it out A LITTLE i imagine. But i think i am just going to have to put some Straight through mufflers back in the rear or something..

go with the Magnaflow, 4" x 9" Oval Dual/Dual Polished Stainless Steel unit it goes where the 3rd cat was

Yeah. Many times. I have true dual 2.5 with burned out flopro's and mine's quiet until I get on it, so it's weird you're claiming it's so loud. I need to redo mine again, true dual's not the best way to go.

This is exactly what I planned on doing to my 93, but I want to hear how loud yours is before I decide against it.
 
I first removed both of my rears, then later removed the resonator, It's a little louder but not much at all. This is on a 95 non LSC model. I couldn't be happier with it!
 
Ill try to get a video of the car now.. it is deffinning.(sp?) i doubt it will turn out very good on video.. ever heard a mark viii with cutouts? thats what it sounds like only it has a little more resonance from traveling throught all the pipe...
 
I have no mufflers, but I want this baby to roar. Like rich said I want it closer to my neighbors cobra.
 
well it roars thats for sure! I like it that loud, some will some wont, thanks!
 
I think on the Gen I's they arent as loud.. from what ive read.. mine is completely straight piped from the cat on each bank back! so if there is somthing else on the gen I's take it off and it should sound like mine
