It's a pretty common prank to play on new guys at work. Rotate their screen displays and watch them squirm. Here's another good one.... take a screen shot (printscreen) of the desktop. Save the pic and use it as the background, then hide all the icons. They can still see the icons cause they are in the pic on the background, but can't click anything. Oh the fun we had at noob expense.

I used to do that in High School! That and remove the keys and place them in the wrong spots.

ctrl+alt+any arrow key will rotate the display any direction. I tried to ctrl+alt+delete to lock mine @ work once & accidentally hit the arrow key & it took me 2 days to figure out what I had done. Afterwards, I hit everyone in the building:) They were PISSED!

Yeah the old M N switch is a good one too. My cubicle neighbor got me good one day. He created a registry edit on my machine while I was in the can. The effect was that the M & N keys were reversed in the system. They were right on the keyboard (I rarely look at the keys while typing) but came up wrong on the screen. I actually contacted an IT person for help before he told me what he had done. The thing that threw me off was that the keys were in the correct position when I entered my log-on password but changed upon windows log-on. When logging onto my mail program they had been reversed. I was stumped for sure.

Some people are way more computer savvy than others..... I consider myself an enthusiast.

You forgot a key part of the prank--set the taskbar to auto-hide (in XP, you could also drag the taskbar down to zero height, but that doesn't appear to work in Vista). That way the victim can't even click on the Start menu...
