I have had this car for over 5 years drove it daily, but I just got a 2000 camaro SS, I have a van and a dirt bike…… too many vehicles and not enough time for me to finish rebuilding it. I need the drive way space...the car is in nice condition but is in no way a new car. The motor runs quiet and strong, it has about 245 thousand miles on it,
I would say that this car has a strong motor, even for the miles. The car has good power when put to the floor... It starts at the click of the key and runs smooth with no knocks or strange sounds. Has a nice sound too….flow master exhausts.
As far as I know the power options and the digital stuff over head
all works, except for the moonroof....I heard a loose linkage the last time I tried to open it. I tried the windows, seats, mirrors, and power trunk lock down and it all worked, this car has all the available options that Lincoln offered.
The stereo is the best of any car I’ve ever had – the first thing I do when I get a car is put some 6x9’s in the back window and some door speakers up front ….but this on beats all – I have the hookup for an ipod or mp3 player direct wired into the back that plays on the aux on the stereo
I have used it as a great daily driver and has been dependable. The car is sold as-is with no warranty. It’s a used car and you should expect to do some work on it to get it to 100%. I’ve been a mechanic all my life and always am diagnosing and fixing and have enjoyed the level of sophistication that this car has.
I have tried to list everything but there may be things that I forgot to list or just don’t know so you should come and see the car before you bid.
Suspension
It has 4 New Air Bags, New Solenoids, New Air Suspension Compressor still has a slight leak in the rear. If it sits for 2 days the rear comes down some….but pumps right back up and drives good …. easily fixed, but all the components of the air suspension are new.
The Following Are Also New
Front Lower Control Arm Bushings, Ball Joints,
Steering Rack, Front Struts
Rear Lower Control Arms, Rear Shocks, the only thing I didn’t replace yet is the upper rear trailing arms that go from the body to the top of the differential
4 New Tires, the wheels are nice original aluminum LSC mags the need repainting (came from the factory with a nice silver metal flake)
Exterior
New Paint, NEW Windshield, Good Chrome
Interior
Verry Good Condition, Rear Seats, Rugs, Stereo
Front Driver seat has some rips but you can’t tell when sitting on it – it is verry comfortable. Some cracks in the dash on top where the sun hits it. The backseats rug and headliner are like new
Mechanical
I put new rotors and pads all the way around about a year ago. The antilock brake light is on and means that the regular brakes work fine, but the antilock function isn’t working… from what I’ve read it may just need the brakes bled to get all new fluid thru the lines and get the moisture out of the lines ….I have bought the fluid direct from Lincoln. It calls for dot3 non synthetic
Engine
New Timing Chain, Water Pump, Thermostat, Alternator
3 Core Radiator
New Bosch fuel pump – had the tank out and painted it with rustoleum
New Sears Die Hard Gold
K&N washable high performance air filter
Spare Parts
When I went to the junkyard for things I grabbed a lot of spare parts ….especially electrical things, relays, light bulbs computers
It was a u-Pull it yard and the prices are verrry low
Brake and Suspension Computers
Trip Computer
Elec Door Lock control unit
Automatic Climate control
Spark Plugs
Windshield wiper motor
Cup holders
Headlight bulbs
Antilock brake master cylinder hydraulic unit
In case you haven’t figured out…. I really hate to sell it…..i've had a lot of enjoyment with it….I don't have time these days ....if i had garage space ...id be keeping it
