headlights re-chrome and refinish instructions

And by the way, as you said, "reading comprehension"..... I bought new housings. NIB, not cut up :q:q:q:q or rechromed by anyone. Yours still look like halogens with a buffed lens. Yes, I paid $166 each to have new and have another new set and another set that will be going to Jamie soon. Seriously, if you want to cut holes in the bottom of your housings, I could care less but a point I have to make is that they don't look as good as they would coming from Jamie. Has nothing to do with sticking together, it's just the :q:q:q:qin truth.

Hope the duct tape holds up underneath.....

three years and counting on the duct tape...thanks for your concern:p and the reading comprehension reference was to my using 5000k, which is close to halogen-thanks for letting me know my lights look like stock, and not 'ricer'

lol meltdown yeah thats what i am having a meltdown. i'm just sick of people coming on here sharing half ass advice to others, cut some holes in the bottom of your light and seal it up with duct tape, thats what i would recommend to people on here LOLOLLOLOLLOLOLOLOLLOLLOLLOLOLLLOLLOLOLOLOl. and you talk about me being immature? cracking comments about me being bald is mature, you are a :q:q:q:qing duchebag. now i see why tommy was so sick of this place i'm begining to feel just like he did.

We all have our own likes and dislikes. If I wanted stock yellowish bulbs, I would have bought them but I didn't and I didn't want buffed and cut housings. That was my purpose in buying new housings and at night, I don't see ricer anywhere on my car nor during the day. Thanks for letting me know that mine look ricer and it's not you simply "hatin"

I have never seen 5000K look so yellow before. I prefer my brightness but again, this is what I like and you like what you have. That's all that matters I guess.

We agree to disagree-civilized, I appreciate that-lots of ball-busting on here, and I can take it (and dish too) but there are options to how others do things, and people are not douchebags for having another idea. If you saw my car, daylight or at night, that cost me less than $1400 almost 5 years ago, you could appreciate how well things have been done, lots of which I got on here.
The negativity though with how different people solve different things is over the top sometimes. I did not take a hammer to the lights (sorry Ripped, you know I got your back too)-my idea was borrowed from someone else on here and it goes back years, so I don't remember who it was anymore-but it does work. I go the idea of the HID's from another member on here at least 6 or 7 YEARS ago (different Mark), and he was also the one who advised to go with 5000k-I got 6000k on one set and it was too blue for me-I wanted it to be brighter (HID's are), but look stock at the same time. Mission accomplished, thanks to that member, I did what I wanted to do. Like most on here, I pick and choose what I want to make my car something another Mark owner appreciates, but I am also willing to do what I need to do to make it mine.
I don't make it personal unless someone else does, please trust me that I know what I am doing.;)

Not wanting get get in on the little thing going, but mine look better and I didn't rechrome them, and I also bought the 5000k hid kit they are a hell of a lot brighter then yours. You sure you have hid's in there? As for sending them off to him I'd be more then happy to send some off to him, but I figure it's worth more then $100!

I love the output of the 8000K hids I'd rather be SAFE and see in the dark (with a slightly Blue looking to oncoming traffic but very white on the road light) than a yellow stock looking light. This is my two cents but to cut a hole in the bottom of something that is as important as the headlight and then to seal it with duct tape is not a smart idea but to each his own. I don't know but it has something to do with water hitting a BURNING GAS in a HOT GLASS BULB, just makes me cringe thinking about it even more so if I have the family in the car at night. Broken bulbs+can't see=hit deer+kill deer+kill car+kill family=BAD. I know it worked for you and more power to you but. I Couldn't sleep at night thinking of how me being a cheap ass could get me or my family hurt or killed. If I needed it I would send my lights off to Jamie I've seen his work and yes I did try to do it myself yes I failed to produce a quality beam of light so I bought new ones. If they ever need it I'll send them to him if he wants to help me out at that time. And id pay whatever he needed for his time. I may be kind of new on here but everything I have read of his it very helpful on the RIGHT WAY to do things, because I'm sure he has more knowledge in the hair on the back of his hand than most of us on here when it comes to these cars.

Steps off soap box.

Is now a bad time to ask Jaime if he would do my headlights?

No, it's not a bad time and he will do them. If you need his address, either he will PM it to you or I can.

It just so happens to be the lights you have are pictured below. Bulbs only had right at 4 hours use on them, maybe less when sold to you but the pics below show the 8000K light and IMO, it blows away whatever that yellow color is.

5000k...reading comprehension, kind of like 'dieing' (lmfao)...maybe if I just sent you $100 plus shipping you'd think they were worthy...nah, I'll save the $100 plus shipping:D

They look great, believe it, but I know it cuts into somebodies' profit margin telling others they don't have to use YOUR money-making method- get over it.:p

Aren't you overdue for a meltdown?

Come on now, I KNOW you girls stick together-everybody hold hands now, and band together, since someone else has an idea that doesn't conform to YOUR idea of what 'works' (plus this impacts somebody's bottom line, God-forbid)
0nce again, I'll LMFAO, and I am DYING (properly used) to see the
witty /condescending responses. It works-and it looks every bit as good as the waste of money ($112) sending it out for $10 worth of materials, $8 shipping and whatever time it takes the guru to perform his so-called magic. I did mine in less than an hour, and I spent $10.
By the way, your 8000k lights look ricer, how's that for another opinion?:D

By the way, i bet you're the f@ggot who buys his "HID" bulbs at Advance Auto and thinks they are the sh;t. Take your mouth and ugly ass Bulbs/HackedHeadLightJob somewhere else, cuz your sh;t looks horrible.

How is that for an Opinion?

What kills me is his "refinished" headlights look no better then mine. All I done with mine was use my orbital and toothpaste.:shifty: And install a 5000k hid kit, no they are not perfect but they are not yellow and all foggy looking, they need rechromed but the light output looks okay.

Yes, I know I'm missing parts.

headlights and Jamie

I read these replies and just shake my head at some of you guys. Jamie is a very helpful tech. I was a Ford tech from 93-97. I sure don't know it all and appreciate all that I can learn, relearn, remember about these cars. Seems like we all could get along and help each other. I am here to find info on fixing my Mks and getting more of them at a reasonable price. Course, I have not found a good car at a great price. Seeking a Red, Rosemist and a chameleon for the record. LOL! Anyhow, JAMIE! Thanks for all that you do and add to this site. And to the rest of you helpful people, Thanks to you as well.

Now I would have to say that you have 5000K HID's. Looks much much better.

I think I figured out mmtphoto I think he is a mark8.org spy sent to piss us off. Or to gather up all of the proper ways to work on our cars:shifty::D

i appreciate the kind words from people who appreciate me, for all the dickheads who dont, thats fine, you dont have to, i am no god, but parting, fixing, owning and being around the same kind of car for 11 years you tend to learn how and how not to do things, you can hack your :q:q:q:q up and rig things on your car thats ok, its your car, but dont come on this site and show and brag to everyone how you make an abortion out of a simple repair and then talk :q:q:q:q to someone who does things right the first time, i dont cut corners, i certainly dont hack on my own marks, or my customers marks, and never will. so if i charge a price to do quality work, and you dont agree to the price because you can do a hack job with a hole saw and duct tape, dont say a :q:q:q:qing word about what i charge, in the end, yours look like dogshyt, and mine look like lights that were professionally restored to factory housings.and so we are totally clear for the last time, if i was in this for the money i would have bailed years ago because there is no money in it, i am a true mark VIII enthusiast through and through, if i wasnt, i dont think my driveway would look the way it does. the only people who have ever talked :q:q:q:q about me are the ones who never met me, and have never done business with me so talk all the :q:q:q:q you want you dont mean anything to me.

Some people need to remove thier heads from thier asses around here. There is a right way and a wrong way to do things and I would have to say the mention of DUCT TAPE is WRONG!!! OH, maybe we are all wrong here and your car or parts came with the duct tape option. Freaking redneck!!!

Dude, DuctTape is awesome, what a great idea, i've been looking for a moronic way to fix my lights for a long time..

Maybe If a buy a large roll I won't even have to bolt em back in the holes, I could just tape em anywheres I wants!! Yay!!!

How many feet of coat hanger wire do I need to install a new exhaust system?was gonna make one out of some old PVC pipe I have

yes you do, the picture is old, but, i didnt feel like posting pics from today, he bought another one i just never bothered showing it, thats the one you guys bought, these are from today though so the driveway still looks the same. there is that better lol!
