Dear Cadillac - heads,
:C I really do love this car, a 1985 White Fleetwood Brougham. It is in almost mint condition. It has very good handling and amazing acceleration. V-8 fuel injection. And it is such a beautiful car. White with a few accents in gold or chrome. I have never really loved a car before. I bought it for $1000 from a neighbor.
I have so far had two small gotchas. First, the rear view mirror came off in my hand. It is just glued on the windshield you know. I found someone on Ebay who had repair kits, so I bought one, and it is fine now. The second problem that has appeared is that the hood doesn't unlatch. I'm sure it just needs some oil or grease, but first I have to get it open. I am thinking about just shooting some oil down the crack between the hood and the front. Any thoughts on this?
Incidentally, I am 65, retired, enjoying life, just put DSL on my computer, have a book coming out next year and keep up with far flung friends and family by Email and I hope to start communicating with Windows Messenger. I live in a small town in Oklahoma with no Cadillac dealership. Shoot, the one used car place went out of business a few months ago. But we do have some fixit places. I love these emoticons. :F
