Help needed to reconfigure PCM for SST to base shifter

SAY WHAT !!!!

I had no idea ... I had never looked at the insides of a Thunderbird. Incredible ... mostly LS looking. Learn something new everyday. +1

One of my last company cars before I retired as a Field Service Engineer from Ford's Jaguar Division was the original S-Type, 2000 MY, which had an awful interior and very uncomfortable seats which were corrected in later models. On one of my out of state field assignments I rented a Lincoln LS to compare and what a difference. A very simple and pleasing interior plus comfortable seats. Needless to say, I am very happy the Retro has the identical interior. I picked the car up on a Saturday afternoon in PA and was home Wednesday just off the north west corner of WA 3000 miles later. It was a very comfortable drive with about 12 hours a day behind the wheel. Thank you Lincoln!

For the record, the LS and the Retro are the same car once the bodies are removed.

...For the record, the LS and the Retro are the same car once the bodies are removed.

Well, very nearly, but there are still differences here and there...
(No message center on the T-bird, different climate control, t-bird wheel base is shorter (and that changes a few things too), ...)

You clearly missed the point I was trying to make. Allow me to rephrase ...
For the record, the LS and the Retro are essentially the same car once the bodies are removed.

Shorter, yes but the same platform: DEW98.
The LS had a much higher content of bells and whistles.

Yes, the LS, the T-bird, and the S-type were all DEW98. This isn't news to anyone. You apparently have a different definition of body than me. Yes, all three are very, very similar cars, but The differences are slightly more than just sheet metal. You wouldn't want someone to pull a driveshaft from a t-bird expecting it to fit their LS would you?

...For the record, the LS and the Retro are the same car once the bodies are removed.

If you had said "nearly the same", I would have let it be. But, I guess that accuracy is over-rated...

Say Bird, those heated seat switches, that placement is not stock is it?
Got anymore pics of that general area. Seems to me you have placed them where the ashtray used to be. Rather interesting!

all retro birds were convertibles, therefore they didn't include a ashtray from the factory since you might as well just ash on the floor/dash if the top was down. also since there is no back seat, they needed to put an airbag switch somewhere just in case the owner needed to take their grandchild somewhere so they slightly redesigned that area to fit that stuff where there didn't need to be an ashtray.

the new standard dealers "smoker package"

$35 for a freaking change holder! lol
