[MIAMI-MARK-VIII]

97 mark viii my battery light came on few times car still ran good last night at
230 am on way home from work light starts blinking radio hose
Off messege center turn off all lights went off
Car stay on for few sec lost all power car won't
Start after gave a jump start up for a lil then
Off again so before I go an buy a alternator an
Battery what should I check heard something about
A fuse But not sure any help would Will be appreciate it

Make sure your big 3 wires are good
Battery to alt., to starter, and ground
You probably lost an alternator and may have taken out the battery with it.
Not sure what fuse you heard about but can't hear to check them all it only takes 2 min.

Sounds like the alternator, get the battery tested too and replace if necessary.

As slowmk said, check fuses,wiring and battery terminals.

I know on the Gen1 there is a fuse for the alternator labeled ALT for the integral alternator regulator. I would need to check, but I suspect the Gen2 would have the same?

thank you guys yeah alternator went bad replaced it started right up battery was good
now another question car is not overheating fan turns on but I can smell antifreeze and at times
see a little bit of Steam from under while driving

Check your hoses or water pump for leaking.
