Help! The shop ruined the ls fascia

Grainger also has metal stock but it's not overly clear what some of the sizes are.

Either way, the weaved metal mesh is an expensive material option in small numbers. If you had someone with the tools to properly cut it and could get half a dozen people to chip in for it then you could make it a lot less expensive. I've never worked with the stuff so i'm not sure how easy it would be to cut up.

I hate to say it... but thats what you get for trusting a "shop" to do one off stuff that clearly have no business doing it.... Why would you have a body shop try something like that anyway... Not the shops fault you don't like it... and if you didn't give them clear instructions or photos... you got what you payed for!!!

Just find another grille and swap them out...

I have to agree. I've had a body shop do simple stuff for me, but something like what you requested of them needs to be VERY CLEARLY detailed and outlined. Photos are a must. If you're the first to do it, drawings/renderings need to be done. When I was at the exhaust shop doing my cutouts, I had LVC up on their computer so I could check out how the gen 2 cutouts looked, and checked 02V8Sport's pics (and had the tech look at them too) to confirm how high to mount the tips.

But, what's done is done.

Another place to buy the mesh is http://www.ametco.com/wire_cloth/

Thanks all for your posts, ironically the same shop installed the weaved mesh grille on the vehicle pictured above. However the manager took a vacation during the duration of the 'repairs' and theirs no way they got a dime for this mess. They knew the injustice they did to the LS so he shot me three hundred cash for my troubles so i plan to work on both top and lower grilles within the three hundred budget..hopefully. The web is littered with theLS stainless steel mesh shown here for $160 shipped, manufactured by APS..has anyone worked with one of these?? The site states its chrome weaved finish but not sure if its an insert. Marcson Corp., another distributor, is attempting to locate both the top LS woven mesh and a lower LSE woven mesh as well..

ALAX7- The CDC grille is ideal, how can i obtain one?? Also it appears the LS pictured has a chrome trim along the lower LSE, something mine is missing. is that OEM??

MARCREDD- Whats left of the waterfall grille is what youd like correct?? hopefully you can make a masterpiece from the garbage they made of it.

I would want the actual surround(not the inside that they chopped up) so I can put my own mesh in and have an instant different look whenever I want to change grilles out.

I have not worked with it nor do I plan on doing so. You might as well throw "fender vents" and a gnarly hood scoop on while you're at it. Putting that grille on will be gawdy as all get out, stick out like a sore thumb, and just look like trash on the front. Just my 4% of 25 cents.
