Help, trouble codes P0171, P0174, and P0133

I will try the O2 sensor tomorrow and clear everything and see what comes up after that. I will also try to inspect all of the lines really well. Where did your valve cover breather lines split, at the elbows too? Is the bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor closest to the engine on the passenger side? How can I find out? Thanks again.

You could spray some WD-40 or similar into the hidden area where the PCV valve is. If the engine idle changes while you are spraying, then you have a leak.

Thanks joegr, I was going to try that tomorrow since I have off. When I ran my freeze data from code P0174 it gave me 4 fuel trims:

ST FTRM1 9.3
LT FTRM1 25.0
ST FTRM2 17.9
LT FTRM2 25.0
ST FTRM3 64.8
LT FTRM3 -44.0
LT FTRM4 -39.5
ST FTRM4 68.7

Code at 658 RPM, Load 16.0%

Do these mean anything to anyone, can they tell me anything. I am guessing they are for each of the 4 O2 sensors which would explain why 1/2 and 3/4 seem to be matched. Any thoughts. Thanks!

Do you really have to drain the coolant to do the intake manifolds? I thought they were dry manifolds.

Well I sprayed some starter fluid down into the back section of the intake and the engine bogged and then came back up like it was being flooded. So it looks like thats my problem. Can anyone (tireman since you suggested RockAuto) confirm that the part number below is the correct part for the little elbow that is likely the problem? Thanks guys!

Motorcraft part # KCV245 ($12.51)

hmmmm

No you don't have to drain the antifreeze. That part number you mentioned, I don't think that's it, I had to go to the dealer for the elbow only, yeah $25!
check with you local dealer or shoot max at five star ford an email for a quote. Hey Joegr, nice suggestion about the wd40 near the PCV valve......

Did the O2 sensor this weekend just to be sure and got the 171 and 174 codes again, as expected. I ordered the parts and they should be here today or the next day so I will take a look at them and see if its what I need. I know the local Ford dealer can get me the elbow next day for $30. Thanks again for all the help. I will keep you posted.

Is the PCV Valve and Host Elbow two different Parts? I called Ford and they don't know what I was talking about when i mentioned the elbow but the pcv valve was in stock for $25 do i also need some sort of ELBOW?

Here it is 2014 and again I get the p171 and rough idle, soooooo, first I check the vacuum line from the throttle body to the PCV connector at the rear ot the engine. A slight pull with the engine running and I hear a hiss! Split boot! I then pull off the boot and entire line to the throttle body. It appears that the wire housing along the back of the engine actually rubs against the rubber boot and cuts thru it after 4 years. I take the good boot off the front, switch with the back boot and use electrical tape to seal up the cut boot now on the front of the line, reinstall and good to go. I'm going to replace the front boot when I find a replacement or just replace the entire line itself with rubber hose. I'll find a small piece of hard plastic to place between the rear boot and the wire housing to stop the cutting action.
