One of the Marks I have is leaking oil. I thought that it was coming from the drain plug, but that was not the case. It is coming out in the front of the engine at about a quart a day. Any suggestions on where the oil could be coming from before I go and break everything down? The leak is not coming from the valve cover gaskets or pan.

oil filter adapter gasket, I just changed one on my friends 94. $16 bucks at the ford dealer. That would be my guess.

I haven't felt like looking closely (too cold) but I believe I have a leak coming from the filter adapter gasket as well. How tough of a job is it?

It's not that bad, drain the antifreeze, remove the oil filter, remove the four bolts and watch out as a bunch of coolant will fall all over the place, take out old gasket, put new one in and tighten it back up, put oil filter back on and new coolant in. there is a small hole in the frame/k memer that will allow you to access one of the bolts, the other two will need a swivel and the lower one you can get from near the bottom of the oil filter.
