I have a 04 ls v8 everything is stock at this time. I'm wanting to get aftermarket wheels. I don't really understand how to determine what the offset should be the wheels I want are 20" 8.5 and offset is 38 bolt pattern is 5x114.3, 5x108. I don't have plans on lowering my car. I have the factory wheels 215/55R17 on. Is this 20" wheel compatible without having any rubbing or having to make any altercations? Please and thank you

Welcome!

sounds right... someone help me with the offset though... to low for a 20?

I bought my ls with same size wheels And Ive had no issues so far
But tires did have some slashes when I bought it
Previous owner probably went throught dips too fast
But if take it easy through dips/bumps you should be fine

LOL it actually has some good info in there! a little dry though

Larry's the best at what he does. I use most of his products. Pretty cool guy too, he helped me out with some questions I had.

The stock tire is 235/50/17 and the stock wheel has a 60mm offset. IMHO, anything less than 40mm-45mm on that wide of a wheel will be iffy. I had an 18X8" wide, 40mm offset wheel running a 245/45/18 tire. I had issues on things like freeway dips (granted speeds were highish). See here; just input your numbers. Here for tire sizes......
