Thanks to my compulsive eBay searching for LS parts I came across this. Anybody planning on doing the 03+ HID headlight upgrade might wanna check this out. Thats an excellent price and it's rare to find 2 headlights being sold together like that.
Somebody better jump on that! :F

Congrats! That auction didn't last too long, but then I didn't really think it would at such a good price.

man thanks for the post. ive been searching for hids. I didnt even give anyone a chance. I contacted the seller and payed. ill be postin pics soon

Thats good to hear. From your member name, I'm assuming that you're going to be installing these on an '02 LS. I'm curious if you purchased the mount panel yet, and what you are going to do about the difference in connectors. My '03 mount panel should arrive next week, but I'm still not 100% sure how I'm going to be wiring them. I'll most likely bypass the '03 headlight plug and wire directly to each bulb inside the headlight. I also plan on taking pictures of the install and writing up a how-to.

im not worried about the plug. what else is involved. If I was able to get r32 skyline lights on my nissan im sure i can get these lights to function.

p.s. I work @ an autoparts and I have a great friend who owns a body shop. oh and my boy dave ownes a audio shop.

oh yea chris n fl your headlights are sick. i too bad you dont have any real close shots. I like how they came out.

Thanks, Like greg was saying you need the front support brace off an 03+. Thats what the heads will be supported by and mounted to. I put a new pic in my garage thats a lil closer.

Greg, do you still have your projectors?

saw the pic. looks nice. must look crazy in person. anyhow the rad support is no problem. im not gonna go new. I can get one from a local yard. just gotta clip the sections i need. Some patience wit the welder, few days in the shop it should all be alright. And it never hurts to have a master mechanic help you out. I think it will turn out alright. hey do you know if the newer headlights have black or grey silicone?

The 2003 and up headlights have a black glue that is virtually indestructable. You will NOT get those headlights apart without destroying the outter lip. I know this for a fact because I've already taken one of the 2003 headlights apart. Heat does not affect the black glue like the grey glue on the earlier model headlights. If you are planning to put angel eyes in those....Good Luck!

found a rad support. $57.81 my cost from lincoln. almost there. Ill be posting pics for a how to.

Make sure you are getting the correct mount panel. The part number is 3W4Z-8A284-AA and costs about $160 front FPN. $57 sounds kinda cheap.

And Chris, I wound up selling my entire projector set-up with angel eyes and all for $500 I think. I never could get the damn things to stay on without strobing, and I didn't really care much for the look. I'll see if I can post a picture of them. But man, I can't wait to get these '03 lights on.

I think Ken was the one who compared these to some sort of Cyborg from StarTrek lol.

Something to that effect. However, I bought a set of projectors with the chrome bezels around it. I've seen some of the projector headlights in the LS that don't look as "cyborgish". I'm currently working on a set of projector headlights and my first deed is to NOT make it look cyborgish.

Best of luck with that project. Retrofitting projectors is not an easy job, but you seem to be pretty handy when it comes to modifying things, so you shouldn't have too much trouble. If only there were a way to get projectors into the '03 headlights......

Damn, i thought you would still have them, i would of bought them off you. I'm in the mood to do another retro maybe using something exotic, the Q45's I was going to do are physically too big for the LS headlight.

Back to the drawing board.

Maybe some one of those fancy projector set-ups that turn when you turn the wheel. I think the Infiniti FX and Lexus RX trucks have those. That would be pretty cool. By the way, do you have any pics of what your cut off looks like with the projectors you used?

Here's a pic of the output I had.

Are you an avid shooter? Are you member of a range? My shooting buddy, my sons great grandfather, passed away last November and I haven't been out since. all I have now is an SKS and a .22 but have been considering a side arm. I have had all sorts but since I will be sharing this one with my wife was thinking about a Browning .380

I shoot whenever time permits. Right now, i usually go to Knights on US19, its a little costly for a lot of time but I usually just stay the hour and leave. Enough time to relieve the stress.
Right now I have the following:

RIFLES
BushMaster AR15 M4 A3 - .223
Romanian AK47 - 7.63x39
Cetme - .308

HANDGUNS
Glock 26 9mm
Ruger P90dc .45acp
HS2000 9mm (springfield XD9)

I would like to get a Mossberg 12ga. but I have to convince my GF to give me my CC back!!

this is the one from bright bay lincoln. it says 2004 on top.

Nice collection going. I love the AK's I had one several years ago was a good shooter. They may have had poor accuracy back in the day but this one was crisp. I had a Desert Eagle 44 and the 357 conversion slide and clips. Glock 40cal both were great pieces never owned a 9mm though. Also, had various 22s with 2 and 4x scopes that we would use to shoot Necco waffer candies at 25 yards.

I worked in the weapons department when was in the Navy and have shot some of the best machine guns as well as the large 5" rapid gun fire systems. Man what a blast I had literally.

Once I pick up a hand gun we should go shoot at Cadillac silhouettes for an hour or two :)
