HIDs on eBay

Thats good to hear. From your member name, I'm assuming that you're going to be installing these on an '02 LS. I'm curious if you purchased the mount panel yet, and what you are going to do about the difference in connectors. My '03 mount panel should arrive next week, but I'm still not 100% sure how I'm going to be wiring them. I'll most likely bypass the '03 headlight plug and wire directly to each bulb inside the headlight. I also plan on taking pictures of the install and writing up a how-to.

Greg; Have you checked to see if the wiring harnesses can be swapped from a 2000 LS to one from a 2003 LS with HID's? To me that would be the best method. I also am waiting for the reinforcement bar from FPN as I bought a pair of 2004 HID's. If it cant then I anxiously await your how to for the wiring.

well my headlights should be here today. Checked ups tracking so im just waiting. The dealer called me and let me know the panel was in. The wiring is not going to be as involved. Most likely We will sacrifice the connectors from the old lights. Take the pins out and use them on the new lights. Hey aviatorguy didnt you order a panel that got fudged up in transit? what are they going to do about it?

headlights just came in. im goin to the dealer now for the brace

No that wasnt me in regards to the reinforcement bar. That was Greg. I also have some HID lights that I bought and am planning to do the modification to my 2000 LS. I am waiting for the reinforcement bar like I said and also for my 2004 LSE front bumper cover. I would like your help in making the connection to the HID lights with your old wiring harness. Please let me know when you post the how to do and please post some pictures. By the way you got a heck of a deal on those HID for $300, you stole them. Good for you. Thanks

when I saw the post I had no choice but to buy them. I dont even know what they retail for. $300.00 and they were brand new. I dont know or care where they came from. the wiring issue is easy. How to coming real soon.

I would bet that the 2003 and up headlight wiring harness would fit into the pre-2003 harness. I plan to order the 2003 and up wiring harness from Ford Parts Network this week. According to the master part list there is an HID and non-HID wiring harness.

Ken, I wouldn't recommend buying one of these harnesses. I ordered the HID harness from them, only to find out that all they send you is the wiring for the blinkers. The rest of the wiring for the '03+ headlights are internal. The only thing that plugs into the headlight is a six prong plug. The easiest thing is to just cut the plugs off and bypass them altogether. I might even write up a little how-to for the wiring tonite.

BTW, I just got mine installed this weekend, and they are great. Pics coming soon.

Yeah I confirmed with Ford on that part. It's just the harness for the turn signal. However, I plan to take my car into service this week and I'm real good friends with the Service Manager. I'm going to ask him what harness is needed and get a part number from him, if possible. I'm suspecting that it would be a complete harness switch over and may be a waste of time.

I'm very interested in what you did to hook yours up. If you can do a write and/or take some pics that would be great.

Ken
