hook on glove box???

does anyone know what this hook is for.... its located next to the glove box latch? I have no idea waht it could be used for

Our '04 LS doesn't have that hook.

Actually, although I've seen enough LSes in Norman to think that we're probably the largest single market for them, I have yet to see one with such an abomination.
