How does this 5 speed look?

1st gen center console is weird looking indeed.

Not only wierd looking but useless too. You cant fit anything into it. Thinking of replacing mine with an 02 console(much nicer design)

i didnt have really any problems with my 2000 and i had it for 8 years. the problems i had, i caused. gen 2 interiors are nicer by far though. i had redone alot in mine which made it seem updated

Very nice and clean car. I don't like the color that much.

As of gen 1 vs gen 2s go i like some things better in 1st gen and some things in 2nd gen.

I like the window swithes in gen 1 better. They feel more quality although they dont have the "one touch" up and down mode.

I like the real manual E-brake in gen 1.

I like the outlined pass airbag, unlike the plain looking gen 2 one. Looks like they put more work into it.

I like the headliner material in gen 1 better.

I like the headrests better. The gen 2 ones are straight up ugly.

For the gen 2 i like the steering wheel better and the cooled seats are great.

Door panels and the real wood is better in gen 2.

As far as the exteriors go. I like the first gen sports the best.

The rear is much nicer, the front of the gen 1 looks wider because of the equal sized roundels in the headlights.

I also like the windshield cleaners on the hood of the 1st gen better.

I also like the "LS" writing on the side of the 01-02 LS.

I looked at a silver manual 5spd before I ended up with the one I have.

That LS will be great, if you have a collection of cassette tapes you want to listen to.

I actually would use the casette tape, more so than the 6 disc changer that I have now, simply because I have one of those casette tapes that you can play an iPod through.
