How many here want better ignition coils

Would you buy HD coils for your LS?

Just change them all and be done with it !

I did that at 100,000 miles and all is well again!

Well the big question there is for how long. I have 41k on this one and now have the shifting issues because of the misfires. If I replaced them tomorrow with the OEM Crud, how long before I'm doing it again, 40K?

I mean I own this car and don't intend on getting rid of it anytime soon. In fact inspite of this little set back I've been looking for another LS for my daily car. So I really have an issue with putting in parts that are not of significantly better quality than the failed ones.

I know things can go wrong and do, but when they occur far too often it gets very frustrating to have to keep replacing the same parts over and over. Warrantee or not is it just not right. Especially when other parts have to be replaced because they are disturbed in the repair.

I've been here before with Dodge a long time ago and even more recently with the plastic intake manifold on my mustang gt (replaced 4 times). That is why I seem to get all worked up with the people around here who have issues with the COP's failing and yet, don't care or can't bother to take two minutes to vote in an enthusiast poll that could lead to real HD parts.

If you still don't get why I'm trying to get members to post, I'm sorry, I know that better coils CAN be made, it is only a matter of getting them made.

jes think we've hit the bump limit buddy (6)....I voted yes but I don't think a market size of 39 is going to convince this company to build. u win some and u lost some....

Just a thought

Maybe you should approach this from a different angle.. If you are trying to show a demand, to get a product made. Then ask this question:

Who has replaced the COP's, and how many have they replaced.

Show a demand that way...

Just a idea :)

well right now I'm trying to sort out what is really the difference between the 3.0l's cops, the 3.9l"s cop and various other ford cops (like the two different ones in the mustang's)
I know that the Jag's have the same cops in the s-type motors. But if we could work out the issues with one of the mustang coils then we would really be onto something.

At least 2-3 of my original COPs went bad, ended up replacing them all earlier this spring. The BETTER NEVER friggin fail again! I'd think by now they'd have the bugs worked out of them, WHOEVER manufactures them.
