How Much Have You Spent On Your Mark?

This is gonna be a really long post.:blah:
Alright, my first car--which I still have:
1988 Maroon Mark 7 LSC - $800 in 1998 with 96k miles (grandmas are awesome) it now has only 107k miles
$150 - fenderwell cold air intake for a mustang
$500 - goodyear eagle HP tires
$300 - junkyard doors
$250 - used transmission - original lost 3rd and 4th gear
$0 - another transmission, cuz the replacement was just as bad as the original
$200 - shop/advice fees for a friend to let me use his lift/expertise to change the tranny out. (I was just in high school)

This car was t-boned 2 different times in the same spot, both times were by white 1997 F-150's. The second time totalled it on August 8th, 2003. 365 days after I bought it. :( It had 83k miles. The stereo stuff was stolen about a month before it was totalled.

Well 9 months ago i traded my 96 merc grand marquis, that i inherited, for a 94 rose mist with 154000 miles AND a 1996 thats some faded blue color with a beast exhaust with 92000 and a set of burned-to-metal tires. So the cars were free. license plate for rose mist was 104$ Plugs were 20$ the some 6$ blue apc bulbs for under the dash and doors and 20$ fog lights. Then my tranny went. So the 96 came from "yard retirement". so far ive spent no money on it. Not even a plate yet. So around 150$.

For comparison I had $7500 into my 2000 Grand Marquis when it was hit, recovered $5500 in insurance check. Hindsight being 20/20, for the Mark I think I overpaid on the amp and on the car. Im going to overhaul the whole sound system this summer. Luckily most of the rest of the stuff the car needs now only require time and elbow grease, not cash. I'm still debating wether the air suspension stuff needs to be replaced yet, and what to replace it with.

Oh man, It's probably better I didn't know. But through all the modifications, custom work/fabrication, preventative mintenance, and corrective maintenance I'd estimate $25,000 plus the $6,000 for the car I bought in 2003. 1994 Mark VIII was at 103,000mi. Now is 160,000mi.
 
Just bought the car and got a clean bill of health at the shop so...
