Yesterday there was crazy flash flooding and I wasn't trying to be a badass and drive thru anything but the road I was in was bumper to bumper and flooded. My car stalled out and now won't start. All it does is click when I try to start it. Again I am stranded in this car ugh! I attempted to pull out the spark plugs but some of the coils are stuck on and I don't want to break them or have them separate. It's been a day now of sitting and all it does is click once when I start to start it. I'm not sure if it's also a electrical issue or something. I check all the fuses and they're good. It's the v8 engine.

'Just a click' suggests an electrical problem. Quite possibly a battery problem. Start looking there.

There's at least 20 cars that all stalled and
are in the same lot mine was in the shallowest part and it was maybe 6 inches. One was unlocked and I narrowed their battery and it's the same thing but I'm going to see if I can get a jump somehow

Take the air filter out. If it's wet, then there is a good chance the engine is hydro-locked. If it's dry, then you have some other issue.

I pushed it out immediately. I took the filter cover off and it was wet but it's dry now. So I'm tired and just want to go to sleep. My work is only a mile away. I'll take the starter off torrid and get it tested

Before you do that, see if you can turn the crank by hand (using a pull handle).

I seriously doubt you hydrolocked the engine. The stock airbox is behind the headlight with the snorkel just below it. You'd have to be driving through 16" of water for that to be a problem. If that happened your car would have turned into a boat and this would be an insurance claim.

More then likely like others suggested is that you shorted out something under the car. There is plenty of electrical crap that can get wet in 6" of water.

Sorry I've been away for a few days. I had the car towed to a shop now I'm just waiting.

A guy (idiot) I work with drove his LS thru 10" of water and it sucked in enuf water to hydrolock his V8. It must have splashed up into the air box snorkel. His oil was tan in color.

people are just stupid, water doesn't have to be higher than the air entry point to get water in the motor... the car pushing through water can easily cause a wake two to three times higher that the water level.
