Ok so I bought a 2000 LS it is having problems with power, if I just ease my foot on the gas it drives ok a few jerks, but if I put my foot down it will not go anywhere or move and ut will cut off.. Any ideas? Any help with this issue? I really want to keep it, but don't want to pay out the butt for the issue...

Go have diagnostic codes pulled, then post back. Until then it's all a crapshoot and everyone will say change the coils.

Any codes (lights on the dash...i.e. check engine lights)? if so, they need to be read and reported back (any autoparts store can do this for free)

more info on the car when you do too please... Engine, mileage, recent repairs etc.

those are misfire codes, were the COPs/spark plugs changed recently by the previous owner?
I'd start with that.

Catalytic Converters. They get damaged and clogged by misfires if you let it go too long. Misfires are most often due to bad/marginal COPs (Coil-On-Plug ignition coils) and/or bad spark plugs.

P0300 = misfires, can't determine which cylinder(s).
P1309 = CMP (Camshaft position sensor) problem. It could be that it is miss-installed, defective, or the wiring is damaged, or the PCM is bad, or there's something wrong with the CKP (Crankshaft position sensor). It could also be caused by RFI noise from one or more bad COPs.

If you really want help, then you have to give us more.
Which engine do you have (3.9L V8 or 3.0L V6)?
Which transmission (manual or automatic)?
How many miles?
What's been done?

Does the engine race away (RPMs go up) and the car not move, or does the engine stall or nearly stall (RPMs go down)?

I have the v-6, automatic trans, just hit 131000 miles, they said they did the tune up, rpm's are normal but if I put my foot down to give it power rpm's race car goes nowhere, and will cut off.

really doubt what kind of tune up they did. Did you buy it from craigslist? A lot of it is listed in Kansas City.

shady people, they usually list on "for-sale-by-owner" even though they are dealers (auction guys who flip cars around).

... rpm's are normal but if I put my foot down to give it power rpm's race car goes nowhere, and will cut off.

So, the engine is powering away and the tachometer jumps up to a few thousand RPM, but the car stops moving?

If so, then Ghost_Ls8's first guess is correct. Funny, your codes are for an engine problem, not a transmission issue. It's not adding up.

youtube lincoln ls transmission issues and they have a couple videos with what you are describing, most said they needed a new trans

it shifts when it is suppose to it cuts off if I floor it, or if I am trying to get over in traffic fast it boggs down. i can get 95 mph as long as my foot is not down, it hesitates to pick up the speed but will go.

Sorry, but you are still not clear (to me) on this. When it hesitates or bogs down, does the tachometer shoot up or fall down? It's important to answer correctly as it will point to either the engine losing power or the transmission/torque converter slipping. These are two very different problems and you really want to go after the correct one.

I am having the same problem, if i floor the car, the RPMs cut down and the car doesn't go anywhere...

are your roads icey too?
