What's up fellow Ls owners. I'm 19, and i own a 2001 Lincoln LS v8 with 96,000 miles on it... I know close to nothing about what to do with it though. I got a loose $800 to throw around.

What's the best way to spend my money??

Rims?? Exhaust?? Chip or Program?? Engine?? What?? I don't know which direction to go in.

I honestly think that an SCT tune from Torrie is the best way to spend $400 on performance. You could also get an intake and maybe a new head unit or something with the money left over. If you are more worried about style than performance you could get a new exhaust and maybe a spoiler or something. Someone will chime in--also search this has been covered before.

Yung,
Ironically I am in the same situation. I'm 20 and just inherited my parent's 2000 LS V8 Sport Package, have some loose change to burn and lookng for things to do. lol... Make sure you visit LSKoncepts.com which has a lot of stuff for the LS... Since you have a 2001 you can also get the Angel/Demon Eyes for your LS. Yet... It basically boils down to what you want to do first...

Don't worry man, just send the money to me... I'll figure out a way to spend it...

Well if you want performance then I am with SCJMC, but if you want looks, maybe get a LSE grill, HIDs, clear lights, tint, or lower the car.

use it for a ignition coils and or spark plugs and valve cover gaskets. unless they have already been done. then maybe ball joints and what not or lowering kit.

The new air intake from LSKoncepts was the BEST thing i've bought for my LS.
Then I got the Xcal Livewire from Torrie and reprogrammed the LS to drive like a dream!

These two things I swear gave me a +50HP boost.

Also, if you have ugly rims get some new ones!

Now I can feel the exhaust restricting somewhat.. so that may come next.

Yung....
I have done just about every aftermarket thing available performance wise except the tune/ sct flasher from torrie. I also have the usual exterior mods...rims, tint, exhaust, and so on.

I strongly suggest the intake from Ken @ Lskoncepts. save some cash for the coils and such.....but it depends on your warranty as well.

If u have any questions pm me and I'll get back to you.

Just so u know i'm not BS'ing

Interior- carbon fiber dash, white face gauges, lincoln dash emblem, upgraded center console.
Exterior-Rims, tint, cross drilled sloted rotors, eibach springs, new struts, painted brake calipers, billet grill, cleared headlights, angel eyes, projector headlights, Lse rear surround, carbon fiber b-pillars, blue lincoln emblems.

Performance- kkm intake, polished intake tube, magna flow exhaust

Repairs- Valve cover gasket, whining cooling fan, front knuckles, sway bar bushings, pcv valve(think thats the name), numerous coils, differential issues, manaul tranny issues. just about any problem the LS had or has I have dealt with it.

There are plenty of guys here with more extreme custom LS's and guys that have great knowledge of the LS. Pretty much it boils down to what look you are going for.

If you are at least alittle bit knowlegable about car stuff most of the exterior mods can be done in your garage. i.e. cleared headlights grill swaps...interior changes. As well as intake mods to save some cash.

First springs, then see how you think it looks and get some good wheels.

If you have money after that I have some items up for sale but for a example get a new grill. What ever your taste is be it 1st Gen LSE 2nd Gen LSE McLaren or like my self a simple 03-05 grill.

Instead of getting the HIDs right off the bat just get some good bulbs that are a HID match but you should save for them eventually as well as a exhaust system.

I see going down that road to be the most uniform and conventional.

Depending on the wheels you have you might just get away with the springs and save up more for wheels in the future, that would save you some money for the other items I mentioned. There is a member NYCLSC that has a good looking factory wheel with a nice low car.

Pm me if you are interested in a McLaren grill or a intake adapter. I wanna get rid of these things cheap! I also have a set of headlights with eyebrows sanded and prepped for paint.

Either way you choose it is your car and you should feel confident not having to ask but its been appreciated!;)

If you don't already own these....

buy the tech manual on the car so you can FIY.
buy the best quality tool set you can afford. A excellent lifelong investment. Only tools made in the USA, name brands only. Check where it is made, do not buy tools made in China. Cheap iron is used, too soft, will break under load.
Save the remaining money for parts to keep the vehicle running and you driving. Nothing like having a date with a hot woman and your car is in need of repair.:D
