Any signs of corrosion on the connector that plugs into the PCM? Any at all there is really bad. Any resistance below infinite between the coil wire and any others is really bad too.
No corrosion at all I have a problem going from the green with gray stripe wire from the ignition coil connectors to the pcm I can't seem to find the wire for it but the other side of the coil connector I have .01 resistance to the point connector. Should I spray elect rail parts cleaner into the connector maybe to help it a little? Thanks
It's not the connectors it goes before that caused I spliced the wires before the connector and I'm still getting multiple continuitys Also it only happens on the green/grey stripe wire. Any idea where I should look for this short. I see a pack on the back of the intake manifold could it be in there? And fuse boxes back near the cowl I should look at? Any ideas would help a lot please and thanks
Please do understand these coil connectors need to CLICK into place. You have to hear and feel each click as it goes in. Some may go in and begin to feel snug but not actually make a proper connection until they CLICK into place. The clicking sound is only the connectors plastic locking clasp but it ensures it's electrical contacts are made and stay in place.
I'm assuming you've already double checked this ~ just sayin'
