Install THX navigation system in LS 2004

I have Lincoln ls 2004 without THX navigation system
What I need to install THX system in my LS
What the exactly part I need to install the system

I wrote so many topics but I Confused and I need to know only THX HEAD UNIT is all needs to fix the THX navigation system or there are another parts.
What I need Exactly?

I'm not going to go through it all again. Please do a search...there is a ton of information on this. And the answer to your question is NO...you can't swap head units and go. There is a TON of stuff you need to make it work.
 
Just go to your dealer and tell them you want it done. It's the easiest way. You might be without your car for a while, but I'd say it's worth it.

lex...you obviously don't know what's involved with this. IF...and that is one big IF...you could find a dealer willing to do it for straight time, I would guess this NAV swap would cost you thousands. You need the head unit, the dvd drive, modules, antenna, etc etc. You need a complete new main body harness. You need various misc harnesses. Then, depending on what radio your car originally had, you are going to have to completely rewire the stereo system too. The original radio powers the speakers differently than the Nav system does. You will need the amps and all the harnesses for that too. It is by no means an easy swap...and very price prohibitive unless you can find a wrecked LS with EVERYTHING you need. Then it's probably doable. If you want NAV, I would recommend the AVIC-Z1. I decided to go that route in my Aviator and have been VERY pleased. Not only that, it is easily bypassed so you can have all the NAV features while in motion and don't have to stop the car everytime you want to make a change.
 
Sport's right; you can switch to the THX/Nav system, but for all the time, trouble, and money, you're far better served by going with an aftermarket unit.

I'm well aware that this is no average DIY job. He asked what he needed to get it done, and I simply said that the easiest way to go about it was to shell out the cash and get it done professionally (no second hand/junkyard crap). Each dealer is different. They might not do it themselves, but they'd have it sent to a place that specializes in car electronics (preferably factory authorized). At least that's how mine handles these sorts of things. Also, what's "price prohibitive" for one person may not be for another. :)
 
If the factory THX system is a must have, and assuming you don't want to go the aftermarket route, go find a comparable LS to yours with THX and trade yours in for it or sell your car.

You CAN buy all of the factory components AND have them installed but can you justify pumping all of that money into your lincoln?

I think spending thousands of dollars on it would not be relative to the overall enjoyment it would bring.......

I hear a couple of guys on here are quite pleased with the new Pioneer unit (I don't know the exact model#)

It also has more features than the factory unit (so i hear)..........................
 
^ Except you're talking to a forum full of people who don't seem to have a problem with spending 25+ grand on a car that they bought for around 10.
