yes guys i just installed an aftermarket jensen DVD player, everything works awsome except my rear subs, how do I get them to sound, do I have have to do a crossover on the amp or something? and if i do, does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for the help.

hate to be the barer of bad news, but sometimes its the luck of the draw when you install a new deck, the subs sometimes do not work. ill try to look up some of my tech soft for your car and see what it says a little later

I was told by a audio installer that that will happen because you are removing the internal amp in the deck. He said you could wire it up, but that takes some effort. Once again, this is someone else telling me this, i am just trying to shed some light on this.

thats most likely that cause, when we do after market radios with cars that have stock subs we almost always lose the sub woofers. make sure you have the blue white wire hooked up to the blue with on the harness and see if you have the factory amp turned on... thats all i can see from my end. sorry

Im pretty sure I connected all the wires right. Ive done radios in other cars before like on my MN-12 also on my Mark VIII, but the LS is kinda new to me. But im sure I hooked the wires correctly. One thing though mexican, on your last post, you mentioned about connected the blue white wire with the all blue wire? Because I connected them with their proper colors, for example, blue/white with blue/white and all blue with all blue. Thanks guys.

yeah you got it correct then, the blue/white is always the amp turn on wire so i was just making sure it was getting 12 volts to turn the factory amp on which it is. i looked up info on the car but it only shows me how to take apart the sub and the sub amp, i have more to look up at work tomorrow and ill see if i can get you the subs wire colors and you could splice in the ends of an RCA to hook up to the sub out on your HU.

When I went to install my amp, sub and cap, I probed the stock amp wires to see if I could get an amp turn-on signal from there. I found power on two wires but one was 7 volts, the other 4. Sending 12 volts to the stock amp may not be a good idea. Easiest way to do it is install an aftermarket amp and sub box, IMO.

so if you hook up the blue wire and the amp turns on then you will get a signal to the subs?
