I just wrecked my car (Feb. 14) on the way to my GF's house. I hit a dear and I'm pretty pissed about it. I need a new headlight and passenger side fender trim. It also messed up my hood and fender. I was wondering if anybody made any aftermarket parts for these cars. 98 towncar

Anybody know if the parts from a crown vic will interchange? any problems with this? Will the 03+ towncar's parts work?

The headlight will definately have to be from a 98-02 tc, as for the fender trim i dont know. Sorry about the car too.

I think you can swap out the front ends. I am no TC expert but comparing the looks of the two, to swap to a 03 TC front you would have to get the headlights, hood, grille, and bumper cover. I do not know if they use different headlight bulbs and signal bulbs. If they do you would have to get the headlight harness out of a 03 and swap it in your 98. As for bolt-on appearence mods for these cars there are basically none. You can always put custom paint on and wheels but that is about it. If you are looking for performance for your car that is a different story. There is actually a good amount for these cars. www.adtr.net has alot of parts for the panther platform cars. Also you can modify mustang engine parts to work also.
What did you want to swap from a vic? Body wise you can't cause the cars has 2 way different bodies on them. They do have the same powertrain on them though.

Hope this was some help,
Zack

Here is a picture of my car. I just painted it a couple weeks ago too. Are the Towncar's platform "panther"? to swap out to a new body (03+) I know I need a hood, grill, bumpe, and headlights. What about fenders?

Yep your car is a panther platform. All the Crown Vics, Grand Marquis and Towncars are panthers. I think the fenders look the same, I will do some research and get back to you on that for ya.

Yeah, you could change the front, but not just the headlights, the newer ones are more square.
