Interior temperature sensor

Pull off the trim around the ignition switch and the same on the other side by the light switch. Pull down the lower dash kick panel under the steering column. Remove the two screws that hold the gauge bezel. One on each side of the steering column. Remove the two screws from the top of the gauge bezel and it should pull out far enough for you to remove the sensor.

stupid question.....but wouldnt there be 2?? Since it is dual climate control?

No, there is just one cabin temperature sensor. The system favors the driver's side, but it has temperature sensors (2) in the outlet air streams. It uses them to be able to get a different setting for the passenger than the driver. While the overall interior temperature will still be set more for what the driver wants than what the passenger wants, the passenger can still get colder or hotter air out on their side.

Thanks caddy, I am troubleshooting my no heat issue, I can only get heat when I set it for 90 degrees. I replaced the thermostat and have bled the system fully. This is my next step?

I think your next step is to replace the Dual Climate Control Valve or DCCV. Do a search on that as it has been discussed many times and is a fairly common issue on the LS. Ive yet to have to replace mine so I'm not much help for instructions on that one.

Do a self test of the DATC and see if that catches anything. It should catch any sensor failures. It may catch a DCCV failure or it may not. If the self-test passes, I think the best suspect would still be the DCCV.

OK, I did the self test all 8's. So thats a pass. Where is the dccv, is it easy to replace? Too bad they don't give you information on self tests in the owners manual.

At the right of the radiator, about mid way down. I think there are articles on this site about how to change it out.
