So I got called on a dare to try and start a thread on the basis of the LS being called a boy or girl. So here we go since apparently Hernandez loves to call his car a guy...which he rides all day and sometimes night...here's his statement

So you're saying that someone providing facts that could lead to your closet of homosexuality is considered a homo himself? So that means if I acuse someone of being a rapist or murderer...by your logic...I am one too.....I sure hope you don't become a politician.

You state the facts of riding a guy...everyone...or at least most people here...prefer to state that their LS is a she....why?....here could be some reasons:

She is...
High Maintenance
Beautiful but not much muscle
Love hate relationship
Uncommon
You can drive her hard but expect a repair bill
You can upgrade her but it won't be cheep
You get plenty of quality for such little price
Older men seem to have more of them around (you know how old men love young ladies)
Meant to compete with German quality
Hot tempered

i honestly could care less but if i had to choose (which i did) it would be a she

Guess it depends on the vehicle. Like if it were a big lifted truck maybe. But the ls' are to sexy for all that- so def a girl...... I believe him to be a pillow biting Butt basher.

i think almost everyone in this forum is a man, so everyone knows ladys love our car. whenever i get to a bar or something like that i just say to girls things like: hey lets go for a ride ( i dont know if thats the right expression because i speak spanish) it helps me a little bit to get girls, a girly car wouldnt do that because girls like luxury and man car. so i think our lincolns help us to get ladys, i am 20 years. the word for HIM in spanish is "EL"
and in mexico wey say: EL lincoln, El carro (car), EL LS, so we reffer to my car as EL (male). so i dont think ladys would like something "delicate" we chose that car for a reason because cars are similar to us. so i dont like to call my self "delicate and sexy"
besides my lincoln ls has been involved in fights, attemps or car jacking, etc. and we (car and me)always win. ladys car would just destroy:p

and i know lincoln ls arent that fast, but when i had needed to beat sport cars i win.
i live in cd. juarez, its the most violent city in the world and there is a lot of people who wants to look like a drug dealer or hitman even if they arent. we can apply that to cars, lincoln ls isnt a show off that says more that it can do or says something that it isnt.
i have a lot of reasons to call my car a guy. when i get to car shows with my friends corvette and mustang 5.0 everyone also looks at my car. because it means POWER and girly cars dont mean that. beside you dont have to wash it to make it look nice. most girls look ugly without makeup. i know i wrote a lot but read it petessweet.

Are there any cars called by La? If car itself (el carro) is a masculine term I can see why your car is a HE. Generally speaking here in the states cars are SHE and trucks are HE.

My car is called Lucy.

Are you sure it's not because you put 24" wheels with walmart spinners on it, ugly and overdone paintjob as well as a car horn that does the cucaracha
 
Even a latno version of the LS can be considered a female when you think of these comparisons:

Overly large wheels (heels she can't walk in)
Ugly or stupid paintjob (Because many latinas overdue it on makeup...even the drawn on eyebrows and sh!t)
Trying to show her off to everybody and make it loud (Latinas especially in sunny areas are HUGE attention whores..be it argueing loudly and in public or being TOO flashy)
And last but not least.....stuffing too many people in her and riding her up and down on hydrolics.
 
I will mention as well that I'm not saying the LS is a chick car, I'm saying we treat the LS like a women (I dunno how you treat yours in Mexico). This doesn't mean it's a CHICKS CAR, it means that the car is our lady, our baby...maybe invite a real women into the car for a 3way, lol I'm sure the shift knob is feelin lonely :p


Anyways what you are trying to cope with is saying El or Ella before you say a vehicle. Well lemme give you a hint, you say "el bebe" but what is you have a baby girl? you'll still say el bebe because of spanish grammar.....same with car being el carro but you can't let that depict if your car will always be male

the fact that i am mexican doesnt mean that im going to act like one of those chicanos, even if you dont belive me i come from a good family, and its not like you see mexicans in tv, big hats and mustaches riding donkys. my dad rides a towncar and a grand marquis, my brother a commander, etc. we always buy the cars with the dealers and we always leave them stock. my car is almost stock. so not every mexican is a chicano riding lowriders, but i seen a lot of them here.

ok, so getting back to the statement that we chose our cars because they represent us. i didnt buy my car because i am fancy, delicate sexy and girly.
if you did maybe you have an issue.

the mustang over there has twin turbo and stuff like. the corvette is a greenwood. do you really think thats a girl?

no there isnt any car called by LA(female). so yeah thats why i call my car a he, but anyway i dont see my car as something girly and delicate.

You are right about our choice for cars representing us, but let me break this down for you. Ferraris are sexy as hell. So you are telling me that if you could afford to drive one, that makes you a girly, delicate type of guy.

I have a LS and a 300ZX. I just call them "The LS" and "The Z". But if i had to choose i would call my Z a she and the LS a he. The LS just has a masculine design IMHO. I am also Mexican and yes my LS is stock:eek:, not stolen but bought from a dealer.
 
Mexicans from Mexico and "Chicano's" born in U.S. are raised totally different, the majority of chicano's pride them selves as being descendants of the Mayans while Mexico Mexicans pride them selves as being descendants of Aztecs, hell I've met some Chicano's who look at me the same way that the boy's with confederate flags on back of they trucks look at me they claim to be "CHICANO" big bad tough Mexican American's and don't know :q:q:q:q of Spanish, so to me their just another bolillo/telera you know what I mean Hernandez. WAY OFF SUBJECT!!!! I don't have a sexual preference for my car some call it a boy and some call it a girl, but I know one thing it is an extension of me

haha yea maybe his car is bicurious or maybe his car is a dyke or heshe either way it sounds gay..beautiful luxurious cars are females, trucks and 4x4 are he..only exception is if you gay and like riding he alot.,..think about it dude when you wash your car and it looks all shiny..the first thing that you say is look at my baby looking good :D i do it all the time..
