Is this normal?

Should there be a pipe connected here?
My car is overheating, there is a leak somewhere...what goes here?

That's normal. I think that a temperature sensor goes there on the Jaguar version of the part.

If you haven't replaced all the plastic parts up front, then it doesn't matter where exactly the leak is. You need to replace it all.

It's not a hole. It's solid where it meets the pipe.

Oh ok thanks...that's what i was wondering...I haven't taken it off yet, and my sausage fingers wouldn't go that far in where I would tell it was sealed.

if that was a hole, trust me, you would know with all the coolant flowing out of it!
