Thanks to the great help from member slowmkviii, we got the car on springs today.
The car rides Awesome. The front Tokico Blues are a very well designed and valved shock. The front end does not porpoise at all even when braking and it takes bumps in the road like a car on air. To be honest you would never know it is on springs by driving it.
I cannot give a fair assessment on the way the car handles because it is currently on squishy S-rated skinny tires up front and stock size street tires on the back that are getting down on the tread but I did take it around a curvy county road here close to home averaging 60 mph going into curves with a suggested 45mph speed limit and the car felt very stable and firm. No body roll at all from what I could tell and considering the tires on the car now, this was very commendable.
The front ride height is pretty close to stock but the rear does sit higher. It's nothing too drastic at all though and doesn't have the 4x4 mode look. I used isolators and perches on the tops and bottoms of the rear springs.
slowmkviii drove the car and said the ride for a sprung MarkVIII is one of the best he has experienced.
Now we'll see what the short times tell me. :shifty:
