JAG susp on LS??, YES, it fits!!!

I forget which it is but you will need to replace one of your control arms for Jag ones. The mounting orientation is opposite of the LS. This has been discussed before

Edit: Found it

The arm in question is the LCA.

I believe the Gen1 and Gen2 LS use the same lower shock mount for the shock. The Jag's used the same type as the LS in 2000-2002 and a shorter-width for the 2003-2005 years. Why? Who knows. You'd have to ask them.

What's funny is they list the same shock for 2000-2008. I know for sure the LCA's were different according to factory jaguar shop manuals and from some aftermarket shock suppliers. I would call and verify they have their info right if you are for sure going to throw $3K down for them.

Still have to invest the time and money to finish the rear Wilwood set-up. But i wanted something quicker to install.

figured might as well order them know before they become obsolete. Just like the oem HID headlights. I priced them couple years ago and they were 800 bucks now they are like 1200 -1350 like WTF

NickT. How much for the spring and shocks? How many miles are on them? Really interested in the springs for sure!

That's called inflation

Well they were on back order but they are finally in. I also went a head and ordered new strut mounts and bumps. Might as well go all new. just dont know if i want to put shock covers on them or not.

You will have to wait till spring for a road test. But i will comment once i do. I have 2 Lincolns LSs 1 with the Monroe and 1 with the Bilstein and H&R set-up.

Well slapped them in yesterday took about 2 hrs total. Took some pictures but it was getting dark out. Its to hard to see the difference, but when i get back from my vacation I Will post some good pics

Any initial impressions on the handling or ride?

My bad. Down here we don't have seasons. Just hot and not hot. The latter of the two lasting only about 4 months on average.

Ride Difference is not as smoth as before, but I didnt lower the car for a smoother ride lol. I havent done to much to see if handling changed much my storage tires are a bit crappy I think 1 rim is bent. But there are good enough for storage and they fit the with Wilwood plus she needs an alignment still.

Last night I upgraded my 28mm sway bar with the 2003-2006 upgraded one so hoping the bigger sway bar makes a difference too. I am putting my 19s on tonight and have an alignment appointment for tomorrow after work. Defenitly a good idea waiting a month before doing the alignment looks the front end went down some more since day of install. Back hasn't really changed.

Also one thing I did notice was that with the stock 17s on it does rub somewhere if the steering wheel is cranked all the way right and left.

pics

This is my black car which has new struts and is sitting at stock hieght and the Lowered LS. Keep in mind the white car might look even lower with the LSE side skirts. But there is a noticeable difference getting out my legs are use to going down farther.

The picture with the 3 Lincolns (have since sold the silver one and am down to just the 2) is BEFORE it was lowered.

I think I'll go this route when I do my suspension rebuild (after I move or they re-finish my road). Very nice looking.

Believe it or not, but my car use to look exactly like yours Hawk03. Same rims and everything right down to the chrome strip on the front.

I thought it looked similar in color and it looks good with the LSE kit. After 8yrs of owning my car I'm finally starting to make some changes to it. I doubt if I do bumper swaps or anything but I am starting to look for some different wheels and possibly lower it. Of course this is after I get all the squeaks and clunks sounds gone :).

has anyone tried the bilstein shocks + stock jaguar springs so it wont be as low as the hr springs , my city has some pretty awful roads so lowered is not an option

Just to add ...about Jag Suspension

JAGUAR Related Suspension ...too

I ordered from AMAZON, the Front Upper Control Arms (Motorcraft) for my 2002 LINCOLN LS V8.
Opened the Motorcraft boxes and was surprised to see them stamped w/ JAGUAR LOGO + Part#.

Motorcraft MCSOE-38 (6W4Z-3084-AA) ARM ASSEMBLY ...Made in United Kingdom
Motorcraft MCSOE-39 (6W4Z-3085-AA) ARM ASSEMBLY ...Made in United Kingdom

I ordered these well before my A-Arms (ball joints) were giving me problems, and as of today I've
noticed the boots were ripped. Luckily, I've also found a shop that will not only put on the both
Arms, but also the Sway Bar bushings and replace my Serpentine belt for $150.00, here in San Diego.

Hooray !!! Only thing that was missing was the 14mm hex nuts (not included) with the Ball joints.:p
