hello - maybe you can help me - I'm putting the alum tstat housing on my gen1 LSV8 and having difficulty removing the slide-on elec connector - thanks

OK slid that connector off - no problem.
Waiting for the aluminum pieces from Rockauto. I can say this '00 LSV8 is not new to the wrench - this cooling system almost disassembled itself - I'm not the first. I'm OK with that.
Also noticed the coil covers are missing the PITA lower/back bolts - the plugs are asking to be replaced.

If I was you I would get those bolts in there I left mines out and went to check them about two months later and it was all kinds of red dirt in the wells, put those back in but I use gasket maker on the wire inlet, and also put a bead around the cover seal, just in case.
