The ONLY time "mines" is a valid word, is when it's referring to multiple explosive devices.

Thanx.

LOL

might could
usta could
fixin' to
and ya'll

are some of the popular southern expressions here in Arkansas. I laugh a little each time I hear them

LOL.

As I was reading through some of the threads, the "mines" kept popping up more and more. More than any of the other grammatical issues. It was driving me nuts watching the younger LS owners with rubbing 20's (even though they will deny the rubbing til their death..or until they reach 30...whichever comes first) commit 187's on the queens English.

I couldnt help but laugh a bit when I created this thread. :)

hahaha, now that's funny. But there is many more words they pronounce/use incorrectly, you can go on for days, just watch some of these shows on TV, damn!!!

Normally I'd let this one go but since we've got a thread that's about the grammar police, I'll follow suit.

But there is are many more words...

whoosh.. he beats me to the correction.. you're such a better police officer than I am.

You have to consider that for some people english is not the first language and they might "could" (lol) have some errors while speaking it or typing. For example, english is my 3rd language and I am going strong getting my 4th spanish, ya dig? lol

I'm 35 with 20s that nevered rubbed. I've had near 1000lbs in the car and still no rubbing.

I can handle some mispelling and poor grammar, sometimes the run-ons and babble is to much but its easy to ignore.

Whats annoying is someone not getting the concept of a 20" wheel with proper width and offset not taking up anymore space than the 17" stocker.

How about if it is used as a contraction, e.g., "mine is" becoming "mine's"?:D

Love those Dirty Doggs by the way! I have considered getting them in 18" for my car.

just like a lot is not spelled alot, people make mistakes and they don't even know it. No biggie :)

What if I said I had 5 diamond mines? Is that OK?

And if you happened to own them..and lets assume you also placed explosives in front of them to protect them..then you'd have placed

"mines in front of my mines 'cuz they are mines".

:D

Thank a Teacher if you think this thread is funny.

Curse not going to school and learning proper English if you don't.
:p
