I just recieved my auxilary input converter and I want to make sure I go the right one. I have a 03 LS with factory navigation. What other cords do I need to hook it up to my ipod and so it plays through the speakers and also charges it? Also these cords are pretty thick, I remember people saying it takes a little moving around to get everything to fit but where do I mount the brain? Thanks in advanced.

I am kind of curious about this sort of mad as well only I am wanting to do sirius or XM. I would like to wire it in rather than us fm transmitter.

I am starting to see a lot of central and SW Fl LS owners in her now. Have there been any meets?

To charge your iPod with an FRD03-AUX, you'll need a PIE UNI-POD (but only if your iPod has the dock connector). You can always just buy a Stereo minijack to RCA Y cable and a car power adapter for the iPod; the UNI-POD simply integrates those two items into one piece.

The UNI-POD also gives you a line-level out, as opposed to the speaker-level out of the iPod's headphone jack. Your FRD03-AUX wants a line-level input; you can achieve a similar result by turning the volume way up on your iPod, but the line-level out from the UNI-POD produces a much "cleaner" sound.

BTW, the FRD03-AUX is just a converter to go from a line-level input to the radio's input. It can be used with pretty much any device that does a stereo output, so it could be used for a portable Sirius or XM receiver.

That was I was thinking. By the look of the inputs, it seemed I only need a aux-in and a cord to run to my ipod headphone jack like i have for my home stereo. So I would need to get another unit to make it charge huh. Anyone have any experience on where the brain gets mounted?

eL eS: I haven't been to any meets the only ones I heere about are in Tampa and thats to far of a drive I for me.

I'v never been happy with any FM transmitter which is why I opted to get the p.i.e. system. I'm about to go tear apart my car so wish me luck.

Holy Sh*t!! how do get the navi back in with all those wires back there? I had the right side in flush but the left was sticking out like half an inch. Is there some special way the wires have to go?
