I picked up a 2003 Navigator with 51K miles on it and I'm wondering what options I have for extended warranty other than getting extended warranty through the place I bought it from. Can I get Ford ESP even though the vehicle is out of warranty? If not, what company offers a reasonable price on extended warranty and would cover some wear/tear items?

Thanks!

P.S.

I live in Maryland

Thanks! That warm welcome would had been even better if you had provided a response to my question regarding warranty. ;)

Is this a good deal on warranty?

I was quoted $2000 for a 6yr/100,000 mile warranty extension from Ford. Is this a good price or could I get cheaper elsewhere?

That sounds reasonable for the 7 year 100,000 mile warranty from Ford. Can I ask you if your rear doors shudder and make tons of noise when going over any variations in the road? I am considering getting rid of my 2003 and want to know if I just got a non-repairable one or this happens on all of thew newer body style Navi's. Any other 2003-2006 owners please chime in.

Well, when I picked mine up last Saturday, I did hear a lot of noise coming from the rear. Upon inspection, I noticed that the glass window was not closed completely thus the rattle and some of the tools in the tool kit were not seated properly thus the clanking. After tightning those items up I only hear a rattle or clank when going over really rough or varied pavement. All-in-all, the ride is pretty quiet. I will be purchasing the warranty this week and I have an appointment for Sat to take my NAV in and have EVERYTHING checked out.

03-04's have the baddd body cladding. Many dealers will add a foam kit to help stop the squeaks. It really doesn't much at all. Other than that put some silicone on the doors seals. That will make a big diff.
