not a dumb question, yes it will fit i had problems with mine (see first pic. above) ALOT of problems but some guys dont, its up to you. i got mine in an autozone in inglewood for $270+ they have to special order i got mine in one day and since it didnt work on my car i was able to retern it with NO problem.
This is exactly why I went with the KKM instead of the K&N. I just wish there was a heat-shield fabricated for the KKM from KKM.
I went with the K&N FIPK, disconnected the battery, installed it, had lunch(about 3hrs total) then re-connected the bat, and took it out for a long drive. I have had absolutely ZERO problems. In my experience, cars that are controlled electronically, to the extent the LS's are, need to have everything exactly so, including following the instructions exactly. With allot of things that are controlled by a "brain", you not only have to follow the instructions, but you also have to do them in the sequence they are listed. My 2cents.

NEVER RELLY HEARD OF KKM BUT ILL HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT!! I JUST WANT SOMETHING THAT WONT INTERFERE WITH A SMOOTH RIDE!! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR CONSIDERING MY PROBLEMS. SORRY KING JUST LOTS OF PROBLEMS SINCE I GOT THIS CAR.
Well, as I posted earlier, I just installed my KKM today....its great man. The ride is still smooth and the sound is awesome. No heat shield though is a downfall. The K&N is really not designed for the LS. I know the T-Bird and the LS share the same powerplant but that was another reason I went with KKM. The KKM can be bought from www.lskoncepts.com for a great price. I ordered mine over the phone Tuesday and got it today. I would defintely give it a shot.

what? that makes no sense at all. The T-Birds and LS have the exact same motor, how is it not designed for the LS?
I am just going off what I have read with the K&N setup and speaking directly with K&N. To each his own. My choice was the KKM, yours may be the K&N.
