I recieved my new grille today, I have been holding out trying to get my hands on a McLaren grille, but it doesn't seem to be happening. I am not fond of chrome which is why I painted mine in the first place. Unfortunately even with all the prep work I did the paint wouldn't stick right to the chrome and even with 3 coats of clear didn't come close to looking shiney. I could hide it in photo's with the right lighting but to me in person it looked like crap.

The way I had it...

Do you think it looks alright with the chrome or should I attempt to change out the chrome waterfall to black like I had it before.

Thanks for looking.

Persoally, i think the crome grill compliments the chrome rims.....if you had black rims i would do a black grill.

Like mentioned above, the chrome in the grill compliments your rims. I like it.

The black center goes well with the black lower grille, but the lse just looks so nice and clean. I say lse for now. Did you sand the chrome before you painted on it?

I like the black waterfall. I only like the chrome waterfall on black LSs'

give it to me

LOL, I just got it. I did get a great deal from Max at 5 Star though, should check him out if you want one.

Oh and FASTLLS, the girl? You mean my Old Lady? LOL thanks.

I really liked the black waterfall because it matched the lower grille so much, but it is starting to grow on me the more I look at the pictures. The wife likes it too, but she likes bling.

I like the LSE grille better. The black plastic just does not go far. I would replace those corner amber bulbs with chrome ones and then the front will fit together better. Oh and that must be that weird bread dog you were talking about, nice!

I would say keep the black one, but I can see what you mean about the paint. With that being said, I would keep the LSE as the paint match is perfect.

Also, if the LSE is a two piece, you could try and put the black waterfall inside it.

It is, but I'd be really upset if I broke the thing, or the surround trying to mess with it.

The black waterfall had a crack in it aswell, like I said that whole grille was pretty beat up, pictures hid it well.

Someone find me an McLaren

Yea, I liked yours so I'm going to look for the bulbs.

The ugly dog lol... Blue Healer.

I'm torn between them. The LSE is always nice, but I liked how your lower painted grille matched the waterfall.

At least you have options now. Change it up from time to time

Keep the LSE grill.
It would look even better with the lower grill painted body color.

I appreciate the comments / suggestions, I think I'm gonna keep it on there for a while. It will be sitting in the garage all winter anyway.
