 I have tried new water pump, flush the system, new theromostat, it won't do it all the time.

Oddly enough my car seems to be overheating when I turn the heat on for the first time while driving.

If I shut it off then back on the temps fall back to normal.

1997 Lincoln overheats

No, But I will try anything, How do I burp when filling the water, I normally just pour it in and go. That explains why the water bubbles up sometimes.

Fill the reservoir until it is full then start squeezing the upper radiator hose and let all the bubbles come out
Repeat this process until the coolant doesn't drop in the reservoir
Start the car with the cap off the reservoir
Repeat the above process until no more bubbles come out.

Air Condition/Heating Ploblem

Thanks I will try burping my lincoln and hope that is my problem.
I have another problem with my air and heating, One year they both went out and the next year my heating works after we put a water pump, and the air condition is still not working,we check the fuse we disconnected the electrical connector and connect it back still does'nt work, what could be the problem.

Thanks Mary
