Keyless entry Via Door Numbers

Told myself I was not going to help anyone anymore... oh well!

There is this sensor in the doors that goes bad, not the same as the door adjar one. It causes the "power sentry" to kick in and kill power to certain systems.

Easy test. Shut car off and wait an hour, do not lock it. Go out, open the door. The dome lights should not come on. Press the brake pedal. If the lights come on, bingo, evil sensor which needs a good cleaning or replacement.

Bingo that was it. It doesn't bother me anymore seeing that I have an aftermarket alarm system/remote starter but its cool to know what it is now. And like everyone else said don't stop helping people.

You can also, after you type your code in, press i think is 3/4 and it unlocks the other door and the 5/6 and pop the trunk. My keys almost NEVER leave my car.

Well.. I found my code.. it was on the module in the trunk.. i'm confused tho.. my key pad isn't going to work when my keys are in the ignition? Well that sucks.. or is that just if something is broke in my car?

If the car is running the pad will should work fine. After all, thats how we get back in when we lock it and leave it running.

CONFIRMED...

LS key IN ignition will not allow doors to lock...

Misunderstood this one.. I didn't see the ls.. I though it was saying.. that if the keys are in the ignition for our cars... they won't lock.. sorry about all that muck!

I do it all the time, but i also have spare keys in my appt, should the keypad start acting up. I wouldn't do it otherwise.
