KOOKS headers and 98 cobra intake swap

no, i still have the stock intake, just the larger mass air 80mm (900cfm),and the cams.im still looking for a cobra intake.had a couple but i either didnt have $ at the time or wastoo slow on the trigger. eventually, my first priority now is the paint n body. a friend is doing another fundraiser for me since the state of florida is now screwing with my medicaid and not paying for some things which has had me in the emergency room twice this month. thank God for good friends, and me mum.(that means you rich and elliot, thanks).

Oh sorry. My bad.

Anyhow, with my mail order tune, A/F ratios were pretty spot on and flat. That was with my stock intake, full exhaust, and stock 80mm MAF. Your results may vary.

kinda off topic but what do you think a xpipe tune 4.10 gen 2 will run?

You're gonna love the full exhaust/headers and Cobra intake combo. Might I suggest getting a tune and also raising your shift points for optimal results with that intake. Air/Fuel ratios will also of course need to be addressed for best results. The Cobra intake breathes WAAAY better than the stocker, especially with full exhaust. I am getting a dyno in a very short time here and with my combo, I found out that my 6100 and 6300 rpm shift points were still a bit shy of getting the car down the track like I wanted it to. I was shifting at 6600-6700 rpms at the track and even with the chit tune I have it pulled very hard.

Your results may vary, but stock shift points will not get you the most out of that intake. It is a higher rpm intake.

Good luck and have fun! :D

Thanks for the input. I'm going to buy the tuner and trans cooler as soon as bolt on's are done. I've already done the 05 mustang hub swap with true-loc and 4.10 gear. Then all I'll need is new black paint and terminator bumper to be finished.

First thing I'd do is put the stock (80mm) MAF sensor back in, and see how it runs....

There's not a whole lotta good things to be said for those "larger" mass air sensors.

Yeah, I beat myself up over this for awhile and then just decided to run the stocker. I pulled it out of the airbox, threw away the box, attached it to the intake tube with a MAF adapter and cone filter went to the track and ran solid 13s. I've heard a bigger MAF with a power adder though, but if I can run low 13s on the stock MAF, I have proven that an aftermarket MAF is a waste of money for an NA setup. Chit, DLF is running his stock airbox yet with the MAF and is already low 13s. Lonnie gave me the advice to leave my MAF alone. I spent $350 elsewhere. :D

i know there are a few cars that actually use our maf sensors as an upgrade.
but yeah, last i checked, stock is fine unless you have crazy mods NA or have forced induction.
