Anyone know anything about the KYB GR2 shocks listed on numerous sites recently for the LS? Car has been in storage since June while I'm out working in DC. I'll be taking it back out in November, want to put new shocks on. 94k and I'm finally starting to notice them getting a little soft. Apparently Sachs has shocks now too. Any info? Can't find much on the internet. Thanks!

They dont list them on the KYB site.

You would be surprised at how many online vendors advertise parts for the LS that dont exist.

KYB GR2

Front 341655 Rock Auto 83.79 Amazon Reseller 79.50 Cheapest price I found
Rear 341656 Rock Auto 83.79 Amazon Reseller 76.50 Cheapest price I found

Sachs Super Touring

Front 030327 Rock Auto 124.99
Rear 030103 Rock Auto 110.79

I downloaded both the KYB and Sachs/ZF Trading Catalogs and the part numbers and LS are listed in both. Only found pricing for the Sachs from Rock Auto. Numerous hits for the KYB's

I have seen the KYB's on a few sites lately too. I was wondering the same thing. I also wondered if they were for the Lexus LS platform, not the Lincoln LS like Quick was saying.

Gr2s are "ok". I ran them on my 87 LSC. I also ran their Gas-A-Justs on my 92 LSC and those sombitches were firm for a "cheap" shock. I'd opt for the Gas-A-Justs if they were out there.

I had a noise in the right rear that I thought was a bad shock. I have had good luck with other KYB products, so I tried them. Turns out that the noise was a bad sway bar end link, but I figured that the I already had the shocks so I might as well put them on.

I have a 05 V8 sport, they feel softer that OEM. They generally ride nice on our awful streets around here, but them tend to let the rear end rebound too high when I go over a large dip or bump at speed. They are not quite bad enough to go to the trouble of returning to the original shock, but I am definitely less than thrilled.

+1

Had GR2s on my Mark VII wasn't impressed and they didn't last that long. Had Gas-a-justs on the Vic and they were nice and firm.

i see them listed for the 2002 T-Bird not the Lincoln LS but I think they are the same.

I've replaced shocks on my '04 LSV8 Sport at 85k. Went with Eibachs and GR2's.
Nice, smooth ride, but not for mi. They are to soft for a spirited driving, especially here, in NYC. KYB states, that GR2's are valved as our base shocks.
To bed they don't have Gas-A-Just series shocks for our the LS. I'm planing to go a sport or euro (if I can get them) rout.

Reviving and old thread.

Anybody else get these?

When i first got my eibachs from tirerack i ordered kyb shocks to go with them, but shortly after i got a call from their customer service people saying that, there were fitment issues between the shocks and eibachs. So i just got the springs. Can anyone confirm? or share their experience/opinion?
