Replace the front damper seal. Take Permatex Ultra Blue Silicone and fill the recess of the new plastic damper seal up to base of the lip seal reduces in diameter. This strengthens the orm plastic body. I had gone through four seals including the metal body with spring backing. The stock seals and a cross replacement metal body seal didn't last long. The original seal failed and let so much oil splash on the damper elastomer it swelled and expanded enough to put a 3/8 by .200 deep grove in the front cover. What a job to replace! I had even placed the siamese o-ring on the oil cooler/mount thinking it was a leaking there. You might want to get 1/4" swivel metric socket set with a Snap-On 1/4" swivel head ratchet to make to jobs easier than the straight ratchets.
The modified front damper seal been in 120k to 150k with a minor seep. The motor has 481k with similar rear main seal issue now.
