Leave the chrome or paint it?

Black 02 'Premium' LS 8

I'm having a hard time deciding if I should paint all the chrome to match the body. Or if I should paint only the grille and rear surround and leave the bumper trim?

Or if I should just leave it all....

I dunno...I'm torn.

Any input?

Or exhaust...I agree and was dead set on painting it all. Started reconsidering though. Sometimes I think it doesn't look too bad.

But actually my least favorite piece of chrome on the car is the grille. If I had to paint only one piece that would be it.

Well I'm also concerned about how the bumper will look after it's painted....How will the trim turn out? Will it look tacky since you should be able to tell it's a trim piece that has been painted over?

I've seen pictures of sports with the grille painted....and I've seen other color Ls's like mine here that have painted both the grille and the bumper trim. But I haven't seen a black one, of my body style with both painted yet.

So if anybody has any pictures....I would appreciate it.

We shall see. I see tinted cars around here all the time...and nobody I've talked to has ever been bothered, though I've only lived in this area a few years.

If you're from Florida you have some pretty liberal tint laws btw...

I've never written an window tint violation ticket. I dunno, I just don't care enough about that. It may have something to do with the windows on my LS being 20% though....

I really only know of one guy in my department who is big about window tint tickets, but he is kinda out there.
