I am tired of the stock bulbs in the reverse lights. Having LED's in my truck has spoiled me.

Does anyone make LED bulbs to replace the stock ones? I know my truck is very picky with electrical and don't know anything about these cars.

Yes, they make them. Got mine off eBay almost 2 years ago.

Also the 3157's are the correct size for a 98?

And is there some good and very bright fog lights that fit nicely behind the front bumper? There are some there already but they haven't worked and I can't even trace the wiring very far. I would really like the led bars but those are way too expensive.

I would guess they're the same size but maybe someone with a Gen 2 will chime in. As for the fog lights, I really wouldn't feel right to speculate what will work right for you because I don't use them.

Resistors for the Mark, mine needed none and I have zero warnings showing for all the LED lights I have on this car.So no, I don't think you'll need those.

Thank you for the help!

Just wondering now if they need any resistors.

Does anyone have a list of LED replacement bulbs for the car? I found one for get 1 but not gen 2. I am now interested in switching a few more out like the light that comes on in the front with the turn signal.

I have some blue ones that im not going to ever use....so if you need them ill ship them to you....let me know.

Thank you, but I bought some on ebay. Bought a bunch for the car and a few for Bee.

I want the car to light up blue when I unlock it. :D

So do all the bulbs (tail, reverse, tag) match up then? Can just buy a bunch of the ones you linked to switch to LED?

They look really nice by the way.

I have just done the ones in the trunk. My tail lights and backup lights. So far it's all correct.

Hi, I would like to replace bulbs on my Mark 8. Which ones do you have that are "blue ones"? Thanks!!

Question on these...

I had one brake light bulb out in the window, not the trunk bar. Is that the 168 referenced as the license plate light replacement?

Also, I had one single tail light bulb out. Those are the 3357 bulbs, right? I can't make out the bulb number because it's so burnt up.

If I wanted to replace all of the back with LED, I'd need what? (6) white 3357 bulbs, (2) white 3156, (3) white 168 and then (2) amber 3157 for the front turn signals? Am I missing anything?

I personally think you're better off not messing with the bulbs in the rear except for the tag light (168, 194) because it takes something like a Cree LED with probably 3 to 5 watts to show through that red plastic. The normal bulbs do a better job then the SMD LED's do. I haven't tried the front parking lights yet. I only done the tag and the interior but did try the light bar on the trunk lid and they just didn't have the brightness needed to really see it. I do have them in the side tail lights, the smaller ones, not the brake lights. I think I used 194's in them too.

What do you have in yours in the pictures at the top? Isn't that all of them replaced with LEDs?

No, just the tag light with one 194 and the small bulbs in the outer tail lights have 194's in them too. The rest are just normal bulbs.

The reverse lights too but that's all the LED's I have in the rear.

Ohhhh. I was counting all the bulbs I could see from the picture lol. They looked really bright, I thought they were all LEDs.

I'll get another pic tonight with a better camera because they do look a little bright in that pic but it's close. I did replace all the normal bulbs with new ones when I added the LED's. I had one light bar light burned out and didn't know so I made all of them fresh again. The 5 SMD LED's just weren't cutting through the plastic like I thought they would but I bet a Cree LED would. Thing is, they project light and it might look like a spot on the plastic when lit. I haven't tried one to see yet.

What is a Cree LED?? Thanks for the info, I am wanting to do this,, particularly for the reverse lights, because I can't see a damn thing backing out of my driveway!

Cree leds are what you want for the reverse light they project more of a beam I Believe and are much brighter, I want to put cree in mine but not sure how long the bulb can be clearance wise.

Something to keep in mind when buying LED lamps is the number of actual LEDs in the bulb. The lamps with
LEDs in all directions will light up the reflector as well as the lens. But more is definitely better in this case.
Also the Mark VIII doesn't have a CAN-BUS so those bulbs won't work.
If you're want lamps with a blue cast then look for LEDs rated at 6000K. If you want bright white go with the 5000K variety. Personally I prefer to buy lamps that are the same color as the lens, but watch the front turn signals. Some states will qualify for a ticket if your turn signals don't glow yellow.

Wait what, how does can bus have anything to do with the lighting. People on here have led or cree bulbs and they work fine.

Cree LED's have one big led on the end for a straight beam, and sometimes both a few on the sides and big one on the end.

These look like they would work too, just a tad expensive:
