So, take the mark up to the dealership (to get the recall done - way late) and also see what the hell was kicking my interior lights on and off (thought it was the doors, but alas, it wasn't. Turns out it is the light control module behind the glove box...they don't make them anymore (as usual with the marks) so they are checking a local used Ford part dealer tomorrow so we can get that swapped...FUN FUN FUN!

I am sure Jamie has a few on hand. And your in FL, right?

Question???

What year of MK 8 was that? Mine was kinda having the same problem.
I tried the fix for the "Door Ajar" message but that wasn't it and worked on the
other switch near the hinges and that wasn't it either. My lights would stay on all the time, so what I have done till I can fix it was pull all of the inside bulbs.
I tried pulling the fuse but that deactivated more than I wanted. Like being able to lock the car.

Nice another one from Jacksonville. BTW I saw that you are looking for door handle for your Mark VIII. There is a Black 93 Mark VIII on 220s junkyard. Dont know the condition of handle but just letting you know.

dimmer switch is probably on the "ON" position for your interior lights???

No, dimmer isn't switched to "on", in fact I replaced it. Thanks for the info on the 220, will definately check it out - the pot metal sheared right behind the finger grip, just gotta replace that. They are checking to see if Rusty Acres has it right now. It's a 97 LSC...apparently the module is right behind the glovebox...I will keep ya informed...

Rusty acres should have the parts that you need but make sure the stealership doesn't charge you more than they pay Rusty acres.

They are going to charge me $115 for it. I called Rusty Acres and they said it would be over $100 due to them having to go out and pull the part off the car itself...should be fixed tomorrow...then it's time to fix the AC...know any good ac shops in the area?

BTW I am in OP as well, in Tanglewood

are you talking about the SCIL Module? I have one i dont need that ill let go cheaper than that..

I think you have to have 2 working keys to replace that SIL mod or it wont start when it is installed.

The last mark that did what yours is saying its doing , the customer had just come from the dealer with a new lighting module and about 500$ bill and nothing had changed, I found a chaffed wires shorting to eachother in the drivers door, but everycar is different.

Alright, sorry for the late reply, been freaking crazy busy. So Yeah, it costed me around 450 for everything...I had to get the keys re programmed, but that was definately the problem. Lighting works just fine now!
