I just registered my car yesterday. So my first offical day with my silver on black 03 ls was today (I drove it unregistered but just to work and back). Man I was all over the place today. And I've got to tell you :L First I picked up some girls :give they were mesmerized by the car. Then I drove up and down this avenue that everyone with nice cars goes to show off I'm telling you Mercedes, Bmw, Audi, Lexus, Jaguar every nice car is cruising down that ave. I got ALOT of looks, stares (I love when people turn thier head completely around not paying attention to the road just to look at my car). so that was pretty much my day...One quesion to all: Is it me or am I the only one who feels like no one can F**k with me while I am driving this beauty???? Oh yeah I love the ride and power too :Beer

I live in an area of richy snob kids who drive porsche, bmw, lexus, audi, etc. at ages 16-20 while their parents foot the bill. And I still get more looks with my LS that I paid for 8months ago =). It's a good feeling but I prefer the satisfaction I get when I just look at my car parked there or in the reflection of a building as i drive by.. I'm like, yea, whats up? :) So many mods coming within the next two months I can't wait =) :L

Im glad you said that alot of kids around my war are like that too. I'm only 17 turning 18 next month, and i saved up for this bad boy MYSELF 2 long years of my life work 40 hours a week and saving every penny. And damn it...it was worth every penny. My car is totally paid off and so is my insurance for the rest of the year...and I have 2 years left on my warranty....yes life is good :invasion:

Fantastic! Keep setting big goals for yourself and don't let the trust fund brats get under your skin, sounds like you got a good handle on that already. The best revenge is to constantly better yourself and do not turn out like they have.

Thanks alot el es that means alot to me. When I was younger I was traveling down the wrong road in life...but I straightened my life out...and look how its turning out :ban

Me too. It was a long troubled road and it has taken some serious work to keep things upright. I have larned the value of things and do not mind having to earn my own way. I like to hear about folks that are on the come up it sort restores my faith in peoples ability to take ownership for their lives. It is not always easy but at the end of the day you can respect yourself. Keep doing what you are doing.

I do the same thing here in Atl, especially the buckhead area. And i'm not even going to talk about how hard the 12's beat... Man stateproperty, your 17? I thought I was the youngest one on this forum. Youve got me beat.
 
i hear the youngens, im 21 got the car when i was 20, sold my old car and paying off, 194/ month and alot of other bills. u get such pride at parties or the bar when other kids are asking u if ur dads out of town and gave u his car for the weekend, and u tell em no its mine and turn the system up to let them know what u mean.
State... 17 damn a 05, thats impressive if i may say.
Who is the youngest? Ages? mayb we should start a new thread

How did you work 40 hour weeks while going to school, and how much were you making an hour when you were 15? If you did all that it is VERY impressive. Congrats.
 
No dice im only 18 but no way he paid for that lincoln brand new by going to school and working!! I hustled just to buy a used one! and worked during school

its not brand new, its an 03 and i just bout it 2 weeks ago see my sig below, This is how I did it. I work at mcdonalds (lol, emarrasing) I worked everyday after school from 3 to 10 and weekends 6am til 2pm. I would have to leave early on sundays cause I couldnt get past 40 hrs, so I did that for a year and bought my 1st car a 99 galant w/55k miles. I got it for such an amazing price (5k) I turned around and sold it for 6 grand a year later, while I was driving the mitsu (nice relieable car btw) I was still saving every single check for another say year and a half and saved almost 10k thats 16k the rest of the 2k was from a savings account my dad started when I was a kid I would put birthday money christmas money and my dad direct deposited $5 from his check every week, that was 1k the other 1k was from my tax refund. that is 18k which is what I paid for the car. I am broke at the moment but im still saving at least $100 from all my checks and putting it in the bank and also I should get some good money from my parents since I'm graduating from high school next week.

I know how you feel. My school might as well be a european car showroom. There are about 4 new M3s, a handful of AMG mercedes, lots of Audis and normal 3 series BMWs. Jaguars, and some kid showed up in a Ferrari one day for graduation. Also, some kid got a Porsche GT3 for his 17th birthday.

I'm proud to have the only Lincoln there, and enjoy showing people that this isn't an old man's car. :L
 
Keep up the great work ethic State!! There are so many lazy ass kids nowadays that have no goals at all and expect to get everything from their parents and then the real worlds hits em and they have no clue what to do!

Good work ethic but don't burn yourself out. Life is more a marathon than a sprint. Enjoy the stuff, just remember there's more to life than stuff. Don't work for stuff, work for yourself. Find something you enjoy and it won't feel like work. I've spent the last ~27 years in ATC and only now am starting to feel a little burned out. That could just be 20+ years at LAX. Fatherly advise over ;) .

I remember whining to my dad when I was your age how my friends were getting cars for birthdays, graduation, etc. After about a month of whining he asked me if I really wanted a car. I thought JACKPOT!! The whining paid off! I, of course, said ABSOLUTELY! He told me I should go get a job and buy one! Was I disappointed or what!! Well, I did as he told me and in 1974 bought a 1965 (actually a '64 1/2) Mustang. I loved that car! I mistakenly sold it a few years later for almost what I paid. That should have alerted me to it's real value, but I was young and stupid.


Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Feel ya there, I'm the same way and choosing the silver LS adds more flare. And it's fun having the girls in there. Me and my roommate had 3 girls packed in the back and one was a stripper and the other 2 were models (all were at or nearby car show and I told them I got a ride they'll always remember ;-) haha and welll....you know the rest)
 
Y'all do realize that this is a thread from 2005, and that the OP hasn't been on LvC since 2007, right?

haha, I didn't at first, I read the whole damn thread without looking. I was wondering why noone was saying a 6 year old LS with a V6 for 18 Grand was insane to pay. Thats more than 06's go for.
