Lincoln Ls bumper grille hatch

only 1st gens had it (not really sure on which ones, mine didnt)

and any body know what the tow hook bolt actually screws into, or looks like, is the spot still there or can something similar be added to make it work.

IIRC it was just the 2000 that had the hatch. Also check with Quik about the tow hook, because I think he's got one on his.

Mines a 2002 sport and it has a hatch, I see them around town all the time with the hatch missing.

Maybe its just v-8 sports or just the sport model in general. Who knows maybe Lincoln actually thought the sport model would be used in racing...:shifty:

If the bumper with a chrome-hatches are not.
My Lincoln LS sport with (original) manual 5 speed gerbox. Gerbox its from BMW.

MAN the cat looks so clean next to that really dirty LS

i think its more ford knowing that this car sucks in the snow and sooner or later your gonna need to get pulled out of somewhere

I live in the land, which is a real winter, poor streets and a lot of snow. LS is a good car! Better than a BMW or Volvo.
Only extra good winter tires and the car is a tank.

All gen 1 sports have the tow hook access panel. It was a requirement to meet European safety standards. That was when the LS was going to be exported to Europe.

well that is a feature that i love from all the euro cars, that sh!t needs to be on all LS's (well i guess they dont need to be on any of the cali LS's ;)) but damn i wish i had one, it sucks living out in the country, my road is always the last to get plowed (usually 2-3 days after it snows) and you aint going no where when you can barely make it down the road with 3"-5" and then you come up on a 1.5' drift, at that point you cant turn around.

i just want to see where it screws into so i can try to add it to my car

My 2000 V8 Sport had the hatch, but the stupid thing was - when you needed to tow the car out of a drift, you forgot it was there and still hooked underneath the car somewhere!

Agree with the LS being a good snow car, just need good tires and they're great ON snow.

+1 i agree... summer tires for summer. Beastly Treaded Blizzaks for Winter and ur golden in this car. (unless ur lowered and hit some of them nasty ice chunks on the freeway)

I have to buy less fortunate parts of the original OM. Had the same make. If someone has - PM!
