lincoln ls cut springs

I heard someone say that they cut their springs and it rode the same as eibach springs. Which way should I go? Eibach or cut springs

Eibachs if you can... but IIRC the LS spring is linear, so cutting (although a hot topic) has been done..

Mine were cut for years...
