Every time I leave my car on a rainy day when I come back it's dead I have to have it jumped in order for it to start back up...any ideas on the issue

Year? Engine?

Been documented a few different times that water will leak in between the hood and cowl and then go onto the engine and leak into the spark plug wells. If you can during a rain storm, pull into a garage or someplace dry, pop the hood and see if there is water on the engine. That would be the most likely culprit.

Fix is to replace the gasket on the hood that seals onto the cowl, then replace COP's and spark plugs.

I have that same problem every now then. Still haven't figured it out. The last time it did that my service park brake light came on. Finally had to take it to the dealer to reset.
 
Wait a minute, is Queenie Love saying that the battery goes dead when it rains on the parked car? This would be different than the cowl leak onto the coils that causes the engine to stall / not start.

If it's the battery, I'd start with a check for water in the trunk, in the spare tire well.
If it's the engine stalling / not starting, then the suggestions above are good.
 
Joegr, I have the same problem now and then. There was no water in the trunk at all. Yep dead battety, and its a new battery. Like I said earlier the service park brake light came on as well....strange

The service parking brake light/message is normal with a low battery.
It seems like water must be getting to something electronic somewhere. If not in the trunk, then in the cabin (maybe a loose sun roof drain line), in the driver's door, or under the hood would seem like the other likely places.
 
It weird it did it once in the winter too.. damnest thing...lol
 
Drain tubes are fine, I fixed it last summer. I don't like water in side my ride...lol

The driver door angle is interesting.

Check that the water drains at the bottom of the door are open. My driver side drain was clogged at one point.
 
Yes it can be park for a day but as soon as that rain comes it will die smdh but I'll be checking on both now I'm excited to wait until it rains again lol
 
My sunroof used to leak water when it rained inside the car it would be sitting in the front light in the car it hasn't done it here lately or I must've not been checking....i need to check out the drain tubes...I wish someone would've posted a pic of the hole bc I don't see a drain hole when I open the sunroof grrrr

If you didn't fix it I promise you it's still leaking. You also won't see it from the sunroof. Search the forum - lots of good threads on how to fix it but to sum it up - Open the front door, pull off the pillar cover, pull down the rubber insulator, remove the visor screws, pull down the headliner from area near the open door (GENTLY), look for drain tubes (they are black and white IIRC), reattach and zip tie them - reverse process to seal everything up.

There are four, one at each corner. Your drains may be clogged, but it's more likely that one or more of the four drain tubes has become detached. You'll have to partly drop the headliner to get to them. You may be able to pull them back, or more likely you'll have to splice a short piece of tubing in to make them long enough to reach. There are some posts on here with pictures.
 
I will check out the thread Voyeur post now thanks guys this car has not been the dream I expected it to be lol
