Lincoln LS Parking Break Alarm

I have a 2004 LS V8 with the electric parking break. When I shut off the car the break dash light stays illuminated and the car makes a rapid bleeping sound. If I pull the parking break the bleeping sound stops. Sometimes in the morning the battery is dead and after jump starting the car I get a warning that says service parking break.

Any Ideas?

Change your battery. Common problem. Happened to mine. I also have an 04.
